@Stephanie
That had me gagging on my drink... good one!!!

@Akubi
There is direct meaning (yawn), and there is the implied meaning as to why you are using it. I looked up Akubi when I saw your post name a while back..

Lovely day in Oregon. Cold, but nice enough to putter around in the garden, and plant some heather for the mason bees. Thanks Sprezz.

Oh finally. A new post.

Lovely day here on the Wet Coast - it didn't rain much, but it tried to snow a bit (WTF? Its APRIL). Kind of cold and sunny.

Too funny, Steph :>

I rarely post anymore but WTF is going on with Casey buying some crap penny stock? THAT is a POS if I've ever seen one and trust me, I've seen many.

Anonymous said...

What is your meaning BJ and what is your point? If you would prefer to debate it, take it to the previous topic.

WTF is going on with Casey buying some crap penny stock?

I suspect he is being a 'ratings' troll.. He did post it April 1st. Either way, I don't much care if it is for real. I got tired of his thick-headedness a long time ago. I gave him a rough gameplan to get the interest rates down and offload the properties so that the banks can't 1099 at the max differential (between loan face value and sale price on house). A bank gets to write off the amount they put on the 1099 against their income.. reducing their taxes (so of course they will 1099 him). The person who gets loan forgiveness, has to pay taxes on it as income (even if you don't have any).

I envision Casey curled up in a ball, in a Jamba Juice sugar high muttering: 'why did Nigel leave me?', 'my corporation owns millions', 'I'll do it for $20, but not $10', 'I just need one more cashback deal'...

Seriously tried to snow here inteh Seattle area this afternoon after I got back from a warm sunny day at the beach with my family. Really wierd weather...

Casey+Penny stocks? Who didn't see that coming..Wait till he hears about new SEC rules that are cracking down on the pump and dump email scams. I can just hear him whine about how "unfair" it is that he can't tout a stock scam..This could be a big thing as well. Giving financial advice without a license isn't cool...I used to have a Series 7 and 63 so I would know..I worked in a compliance dept for a while. Man, that was fun. I actualy caught a guy doing some shady stuff. I got to meet the G-Men in the flesh. I was one of the good guys and I hated being in a conference room with them. Nope, I'd say Casey is Fucked...

Good job T. That was really a lose-lose situation. Like I said, the haters should have had a larger say in whether he got the money or not. No way did he earn IMO. This was just another Casey scam....Stop feeding him and let him feel real pain guys...come on..sheesh!

Part of the reason why California is so fucked financially (despite the GDP of the state is higher than most highly industrialized nations) is due to the fact that we tolerate so many loser immigrant fucktards including current governor...NOT to mention the far more important illegal alien issue. Dudes, you lost the Mexican American war. It ain't your territory.

What is your meaning BJ and what is your point?

Nothing to debate.. People sometimes choose names that have a hidden (or not so hidden) meaning (symbolic meaning). The name may not necessarily match the direct translation (form of idiom instead). Yawn could be because you blog when bored (yawn.. gotta stir up something over here), could be because you feel the whole Casey thing is getting boring, could be because you have narcolepsey.

Anonymous said...

Hehehehe...Case may need this when he can't pay the power bill.

So, BJ, why should you care either way?
BTW, I don't blog, I only comment on other blogs - and generally do so when either bored or annoyed or both.

Anonymous said...

BJ, why should you care either way?

I never said I did. I was just pointing out that you gave me a translation that I already knew and was probably not the real 'meaning' behind the 'handle'. My use of 'BJ' is similar.. you can make of it what you will. Those that know me, know what it means. Those of a sophomoric mind will make certain specific inferences as to what it means... and they will be dead wrong.

I don't ask/nor demand that you reveal your real meaning behind your handle....

At first (I discovered the blog in December), I thought he was just naive but a decent person but now the more I think about it, the more I believe that he is a slick talking con artist. When I listen to him, he repeats the same BS answers. The sad thing is how can 2 people that are healthy and young not want to work??? Do they enjoy begging people for money? I think the worst thing was when people donated money on Friday night. It was funny how interactive his blog became after he needed money.

Anyway, enjoy the site and read it a few times a day.

Casey has fessed up about the penny stock purchase. And feels thoroughly justified.

I am no longer amused and am now appalled.

Miranda Mayer said...

That boy ain't right.

If true, I'd hope that admitting to gambling on subpenny stocks with corp credit would be the final straw for LE.

Gypsy Pete said...

It was humorous... watching folks spin around in their own self righteousness was almost as funny as imagining KC buying stocks. I don't particularly care what happens to KC anymore - but what worries me personally is that so many posters think that work is absolutely important. It isn't really. Spiritual redemption, sanity, happinesss, contentment - none of that comes from work alone and yet we get fed that line it seems. "Line up - be a worker"... come on... we only had this foisted upon us at the start of the industrial revolution - before that we DID know how to be happy and work had a very different pattern than 9-5 - it was seasonal, occurred in smaller spurts, time off in between those spurts. Sure we didn't have SUV's and TV but having grown up in PNG I can tell you that those things are not key to happiness and certainly not survival. I'll put on my blog shortly a picture of how my wantoks still live there.

Peace.

Scams in California are older than a Beverly Hills address. I wouldn't blame it on the immigrants. That is just the ugly underside of a wild west business sense. You have to be really on the look out for these things. I seems that the scams are moving to Phoenix too.

Lost Cause said...

A job for someone who is in Casey's position is an obvious first step. There are other choices for people who have money (or perhaps no money, if you are a bum) but I think that is good advice. There actually are many choices in this society, but there are certainly only a few ways of getting to that point, where you have many more choices.

PMS - I agree somewhat with your comment, but Casey's lust for material sheet is his own downfall. He wants to be rich and famous on somebody else's dime and pretends that it's not his fault when his lack of attention to detail is why he fails.

His lack of attention to detail is PRECISELY why he's a failure. Now that he has proven that his "business plan" does not work, he should get a job and attempt to pay people back. You see in this country it is inexcusable that we pay for this stupid kid and his dumb ass mistakes. If he was just a slacker working 20 hours a week and birddogging deals without hurting anybody, I'd be the first to say go for it.

He is a drain on society and that is what makes many so upset.

Anonymous said...

@BJ- does this mean Brian James?

I knew a guy in college named BJ, we called him 210 (2nd & 10th letter in the alphabet).

And yes the immature references stuck. We started calling fellatio getting a 210 not long after that.

Interesting and quite valid points. However, in the Soto Zen tradition work becomes one's practice whether it be turning over the compost pile or cleaning the toilets. Work can be spiritual on a certain level with a proper perspective. Just think about Sisyphus and his rock.
My issue with Casey is that he doesn't seem to have a moral, spiritual or ethical perspective on anything and simply spouts tons of verbal BS he learned at those BS overpriced "colleges" and "seminars". His soul seems to be diminishing at the approximate rate of his foreclosures.

@Akubi

Soto Zen? Sotot Zen? Puh-leeeze. What a dry-white-wine of a religion. Why don't you leave those mumbling bald-headed Doganites to their gloomy basement reveries and come ride the lightning...the Sivaite Aghori life is the only way to fly. Have you ever squatted on a corpse in the charnel-grounds and midnight and summoned Lord Yama with a trumpet carved from a human thighbone? Have you ever spent two days in a row locked in yabyum with a filthy prostitute-washerwoman candali, chanting mantras until your tounge is raw and cracked? Have you ever gnawed on human flesh while naked and covered in funiary ashes, eyes red and bulging with divine ecstasy? we can be like them, come on baby, baby, take my hand, we'll be able to fly...

Casey didn't buy a penny stock. He bought a LESS THAN a penny stock!

34 one-hundreths of a penny, to be exact!

Casey can out looser the loosers.

Anonymous said...

Anyone read the latest 10-Q on that stock? It reads like a Stephen King novel.

Anonymous said...

Here's the problem with mining penny stocks - they are pure speculation plays! I've dabbled in the penny market and they are risky beyond anything you can imagine.

I once invested in a penny stock where the company claims to have found billions of barrels of oil in what were thought to be depleted fields. They PR'd it to DEATH and kept the promise of billions of dollars of sales coming in. I bought like a sucker because all the due diligence pointed to this being for real. The stock went up a little and then dropped like a rock when it was announced they meant MILLIONS of barrels at best.

They were wrong and hid behind the safeharbor laws by arguing that their estimates were off. Price tanked, I lost and many others did too. I got out with minimal damage, but Casey is proving how truly naive he is buying a frickin mining sub penny stock with tons of question marks.

He sure is good at finding loosers though!

Anon 5:38 AM: Has there been a resurgence of interest Sivaite Aghori? I wasn’t aware that it was still practiced. Your description sounds so appealing I’ll have to locate a nearby ashram ASAP to discover what I’ve been missing.
