Does Honesty Matter?

Really. What part of rulle of law rather than rule of men has broken down? We wait and wait for men to decide whether to enforce the law? What would Abe say?

Interesting question.

It has become abundantly obvious that law enforcement does not treat people like Snowflake as a priority. He practically brags about his exploits in an open forum, posts evidence, and nothing happens.

Was it always this way? Or when did things change?

Nigel claims the yield curve has been inverting on and off for 3 years.

Here's what I posted
-----
Nigel,

The yield curve has been inverted on and off for 3 years?

I'm looking at this:
http://stockcharts.com/charts/YieldCurve.html

The inversion appears to have started in mid-june of 2006. From March 2006 to June, it was flat. From April 2004 to March 2006 the yield curve was normal.
-----
That was for you, GameOver.

Anonymous said...

r-boy,

the recession usually starts about 6 months after the yield curve un-inverts. The yield curve un-inverted last month.

rob dawg,

the problem is that we live in a world where the difference between famous and infamous has been erased. As long as you get your 15 minutes of fame, it doesn't matter HOW you got it.

You could also apply this concept to the stock scandals earlier this decade. It doesn't matter how you get rich, as long as you do it. Cause once you are rich, you get a slap on the wrist and get to keep the loot anyway.

that's what this whole episode with Casey is showing too. few people would admit publically (with a shrug of their shoulders) that they broke the law like Casey does. but, he will likely walk and he knows it.

i'm having my doubts about the clown....

Friday,

Then call the FBI and DA in sac everyday. There are folks doing that. I do what I can. (why I maintain the wiki on him, and why I download and send on CD the audio files).

Maybe its cause celebre, but im determined not to harm casey but to prevent him from harming others. the moment he steps into guru mode, I'm springing into action.

Like it was said before...government bureaucrats with time on their hands are very dangerous.

Peripheral Visionary said...

Justice happens, but the main problem that I see is that it is slow. The system has become so gummed up with well-intentioned protections and processes that it takes virtually forever to get someone to trial, then get them from trial to being sentenced. While I'm all for Constitutional rights and protections, the Constitution also has that key phrase about have a right to a SPEEDY trial which has become completely ignored and trumped by every other consideration.

Anonymous said...

The "speedy trial" clause only applies after arrest, and is intended to prevent the government from arresting Caseys, locking them up and never getting around to trying them.

Face it, if Casey were a priority, he would have been arrested long ago.

Unknown said...

@ R-Boy - Yeah I saw that. Nice work.

@ king friday the 13th - The duration and depth of the inversion tend to correlate with the duration and depth of the recession. The latest inversion was modest (previous inversion had been MUCH deeper) although it lasted for a while. I have a hard time believing this with be a "modest" recession.

What do you guys think?

I just posted this to Snowflakes blog under the Scotsman/Economist post:

Dude, this publicity is not a good thing. All it does is bring attention to the fact that your fraud is not being prosecuted and turns up the heat. Law abiding citizens read these publications and wonder why you are prancing around with a murse, drinking over-priced juice, and writing a blog. It irritates them. People are emailing and calling law enforcement and DA's. You can bet that even though nothing appears to be happening, you are being looked at heavily by authorities. Again, it's not a good thing.

This is Casey's take on his anniversary:

"Anniversary day went well. I think this is the first anniversary without a major argument. Well, except when Galina’s tried to use her cell phone and realized the account is suspended because of a past-due balance. I was supposed to pay that bill but I kept waiting for the money to come in. Aside from that it was all good."

Anniversary went well except my murse was stolen by a homeless dude as G and I took a walk down memory lane at one of our houses. My Maker must have been watching out for me because before we left for dinner, I had been cleaning the murse and took everything so of it so I didn't loose anything. Even after that traumatic experience, we looked at each other and magically at the same time said 'It's all good' and had a good laugh. We went on to our dinner at Macaroni Grill and she presented me with a new Murse, which was my surprise anniversary present. So the theft was actually a win-win. G was only slightly perturbed that I didn't have a gift for her. I had been meaning to do that but the date kinda snuck up on me. I have to do better in that area. I promised to reactivate her cell phone as a present. Sweet!

Ha ha, I bet Casey's cell bill got paid. Priorites.

Doing some rough estimates from all the cash back Casey took out plus all the credit cards debts, I think Casey has a minimum of 200k stashed away from all the illegal cash back he took out.

He probably used his credit cards to finance the "repairs" to the homes so that it will apear as if he spent the cash-back money fixing them. Pretty smart and slick move for Casey.

For most of us honest folks, it probably takes a good 15 years to save up $200,000.00 bucks.

So folks, now that we can look back, I think it is very clear what Casey's plan was and why so many people (even supporters like Nigel) are so upset that Casey will NOT get a job no matter what.

For all of you frustrated people telling Casey to get a job, now you know why he wont.

Think about it. If Casey got a job, or jobs and *not* pay his debts (he has no intention of paying back the loans), the banks and law enforcement agencies would go after him like a hot potatoe.

This way, by Casey not having a job, nobody can go after him.

Like I said before and watch how the following will come true:

1) Casey *WILL* file for Bankruptcy once his last house forecloses.

2) Casey *WILL* find a job (or jobs) once his Bankruptcy is approved.

Just sit back and watch how these two things will come true.

P.S. The reasoon why Casey is waiting for his last house to foreclose before he files for Bankruptcy is because this way, he wont be filing for BK against the home loans and thus he cannot be prosecuted for lying on his bank loans :-)

Anonymous said...

@ anon 1:30pm

I made that same argument months ago and got poo- pooed for it.

It's so obvious.

Anonymous said...

Oh, he can still be prosecuted for his loans. He committed mortgage fraud by lying on his applications and signing the owner occupancy documents. Whether or not he files BK against those loans has nothing to do with it. It might have something to do with BK fraud but not his original mortgage fraud.

R-Boy said...

To All,

My efforts have borne a bit more fruit. I *will* be contacting someone today, and I *will* let you know what comes of it

Fraud is fraud. You can't be saved by simply filing a BK.

That's like going into Best Buy, stealing a washer and thinking you can get off if your house burns down. Theft is theft, fraud is fraud, illegal is illegal.

Anonymous said...

My wife just finished two l-o-o-ong weeks of jury duty here in Sacramento, CA. It was a fraud and perjury case involving one tenth the amount of money stolen and lies told by the Serinistas.

CS is just the front for this whole Gypsy clan and you know some of that "upfront" money found its way into the accounts of mom, pop and sis. if the above referenced case is any indication of the attention span of the Sac County DA, the Serin clan should be lawyering up heavy.

Also, say he does have 200K stored away offshore. A few things

1) with his credit, he can't get a loan unless he puts 50% down and it's hard money.

2) 50% down in CA, UT, AZ, NV would be darn well near the 200K he has saved up. Why would you risk all this to have 1 home. He wants as many sweet projects as he can get. He doesn't have the $$$ for it

3) His reputation is ruined. Say this was all one big scheme. Who would attach themselves to him?

4) Commercial? Out of the question. 200K won't get you squat when it comes to commercial. Apt. complexes require upkeep and management. He has neither

5) 200K is a lot of money, but with his spending habits and Galina's spending habits, 200K won't last very long

6) His family and sis-in-law would be pissed if he had money somewhere and wasn't paying anyone. Where would he live? He can buy or rent a house. He'd have to put up at least 6-8 months worth of rent for an apartment. Again, he can't handle putting a 10K down just so he can live somewhere. Plus he wouldn't pay utilities

7) If his folks or friends are on this, what sort of legal counsel will 200K provide?

Honestly, what would be the purpose of going through all this just to have 200k? If it were a few million, then yes. But for 200k? I wouldn't get kicked in the nuts for 200K

Anonymous said...

The Murse is full of gold doubloons and Honus Wagner baseball cards.

I don't think casey saved up dough.

He would have been lying about everything(not paying the inlaws rent), etc. That's way to complicated for him. nope casey lived the high life. all those seminars cost him a boat load. he probably blew over 20k eating out, jamba juice, etc. all his high tech gadgets. his overdraft fees. hawaii was probably 10k. they already had some debt in the beginning. nope casey is a perfect example of what NOT to do in every conceivable way.

@GameOver 1:59...I think it's a combination of the two. Casey *and* Galina started out with an elaborate con. Just the approx. $160k cash-back would be more than they've ever held in their lives.

The Serins may have been 'white Russian' back in the old country, but they're lower-middle class white trash Here In Amerrrika. Look at the photos.

But I also think that the whole thing started crumbling fast when the dynamic dumbasses' lack of foresight had the more volitale moving parts of the con unravel the whole scheme.

I still say that the only appropriate punishment for these fucktards will include: prison terms, FULL repayment of EVERY DIRTY PENNY, and an extensive probationary time where they are banned from doing real estate deals.

The only acceptable alternative to the above elements would be repatriation to Uzbeki. Let the Serins try this 'no pay' and 'lender ignore' shit there.

Look, nobody can run up 150k in Credit card bills as fast as Casey did. I believe that once he had cash back at closing, he kept that money and used his credit cards for repairs or whatever he needed (trips, juice, etc).

I also believe that they all think alike and that living with the sis in law is a fake setup, again, to show that he cannot pay what he owes. Imagine if he had a nice place where he lived - they would go after than in a heart beat.

It is all a very clever and well setup plan which involves not only Casey, but wife and family members.

nigel scheming to write a book is more plausable than casey scheming to steal $200k. if this is a con, it's going remarkably well. i think the real story is that he didn't care about price, believing that he's a rich boy now. but of course i'm open to this idea. that's a lot of money to steal and get away with it. i do think he should be audited or whatever, to determine where the money went. and i think it would be a miscarriage of justice to fail to investigate.

Thanks for the reminder of the 'Earth Log' blog archive. It is a Good Thing (tm) that was archived. I would have liked hearing Casey questioned about it during the recent call-ins.

"Casey seems like a different person in the Earth Log stuff."

You bet he does. I thought to my self 'less affected', but then I wondered if perhaps 'less infected' isn't also appropriate-- 'infected' by MLMs, infamy, shady associates, desperation, greed....

His old log reveals a lot of Galina's participation and his well-developed tendency towards lackadaisicality.

"Its 8am or so. Galina is a hard worker so she jumps out of bed right away and starts packing. I’m being lazy and I lay in bed for a bit longer and she gets upset at me. She has every right to. I’ve been lazy and passive for this entire move while she has been working hard."

"Galina goes to sleep right away. She is smart because tomorrow we need to get up at 4am to get to San Francisco by 8am and go to the Apartment seminar. Its 12:45am and I need to get my butt into bed now. As soon as I finish this post."

Notice too the end of the second quote, his propensity for 'cliff hangers', demonstrated on IAFF frequently.

Sigh. That seems a little provincial, hyper-PC sensitive to call my comment "misogynist."

The Serins want to be paid a lot of money while they lie down and let someone else do all the work. Outside of prostitution, what could either of them do to accomplish that?

Pointing out that being female and infinitely more attractive than her husband means that she could possibly make a fair amount of money through prostitution is merely a statement of fact. If you find that offensive, then your quarrel is with the values Western Civilization and simple economic forces, not any individual poster.

"you have a very oddly obsessed bunch of peeps" Gee you think, the same 100 people gather hear each day making jokes about a bunch of people, unearth facts about same couple and pass on information that can be used to put them away for their crimes, and we do it on our own time and for free... and you THINK we are obsessed?

Just relax, get off your politically correct high horse, and go get laid...oops, was that misuginaisticcalifragilisticexpealeedocius?

Look, if anyone who sincerely offended (as opposed to just trolling), that was not my intent. But I just don't see it as something to get that worked up over. And frankly I can't promise that it won't happen again. If you don't like it, then either ignore it or leave. That's what I do when I grow too tired or annoyed with a website.

Just curious... do you also object to the many "Bubba is going to ass-rape Casey" comments have we traded back and forth? On the one hand, inmate sexual assault is a very real problem in American prisons. On the other, its freaking hilarious.

Actually, I do object to the glee with which many people talk about someone they don't like getting raped in prison. I don't find it freaking hliarious and wonder why the people who make it think sex is a weapon.

Can't speak for anon, but my response wasn't triggered by walt526's comment but more by the general air that arises here whenever Galina or her sisters are mentioned -- sometimes these go way too close to the bone.

Sometimes the jokes take a nasty, obsessive tone that overshadow any real discussion -- the whole "Nigel is gay" stuff went on way, way past its self life.

(I'll confess to having made a Bubba joke here myself, though.)

But anyway, here's some meat. Casey's desperate "look, I'm still news" post today is the first time that he's acknowledged the January Scotsman Guide piece. It was mentioned by commenters, but never by Casey; unusual given how much he craves media attention and validation.

Why? Maybe he didn't want too much light shone on this:

On six of the properties, he received cash back at closing. The largest check he received was for $50,000. The cash was paid to a bogus company, controlled by a third party. It was then funneled back to Serin. In all other escrows, cash was paid to the seller, then back to Serin after closing.

Bogus company? Third party? What what what?

Was this Larchmont? And who was the third party?

Lawnmower man,

Homey hinted that the money was funneled through Casey and Galina's two phony real estate companies ( which were never registered with the State of Ca.)

Are you listening R Boy?

Change of subject here...

Can we come up with some kind of award for R-Dawg's EN blog? It's hardly fair that you know who has an award winning blog and R-Dawg doesn't.

And is it significant of something that you know who couldn't even rig the voting in his own contest so that he could come out better than third place?

I assumed the 50K check was the Utah property...Does anyone have more specific info?

Lawnmower Man, this debunks Casey's claim to not know what he was doing was illegal. If he didn't know it was illegal why did he set up phony companies and expose 3rd parties to long arm of the law if he didn't know that 3% was the max cash back?

Papers were mailed, faxes were sent. This is mail fraud and wire fraud.

Liar. Fraud. Felon.

Who do I start calling in California to demand that this little prick and his accomplice wife are sent to prison.

I've been keeping up the Power Meditation Fasts for Snowflake the past several days and I've had a minor epiphany. Snowflake is not going to reach his bottom before he's stuck waiting in a holding cell for his arrainment. It may not happen then, but it won't happen before then. The next possibility will be that uncomfortable wait after bail is set and before it's posted.

I don't think it'll be huge bail, as it's not a violent felony, but it will be multiple counts for various interstate crimes. On the other hand, I suspect it'll be harsher if it's a Fed court than a State one. Maybe we could start a pool or something? I'm thinking $30K. And his parents (NOT his in-laws) will have to put up their home for the bail. They're probably too tapped out from helping Snowflake to get a bond.

All of the earth Mission stuff is collected here as a text file if it's gone from Exalead cache or you just don't want to dig through it.

On the misogyny, sure it goes too far some times, but such is the cost of no moderation. For the record, the only person I've called a whore is Casey. And Prlinkbiz deserves every epithet she gets.

that picture of casey and his wife is old. probably even from when they got married. notice the gifts in the background. plus recent photos of G show here ballooning out somewhat.

Absolutely agree - it was obvious to me at first glance that pic was about 3 years old. Casey looks like an innocent little idiot kid in that pic. In recent pics, he looks like an older kid on crack.

(Wondering if anyone will even see my response buried in the n-th post. How about a forum instead - now, there's a unique thought!)

Honest Abe was just a fairy tale, like Washington cutting down a cherry tree. Lincoln's election caused the civil war, which killed 2 million people. He wanted the slaves to move back to Africa.

But don't tell your kids that, until they have finished their compulsory education in state-run schools.

@Endgame Observer

That pic is clearly from Casey and Galina's Rehearsal Dinner. Prove me wrong, Casey.

You look like a tired bag of shit now and your wife is starting to get a little soft. Don't worry Casey, it happens to all of us.

Lost Cause indeed.

Yes, Lincoln thought that moving the slaves back to Africa would be a good solution, but he didn't end up doing that. His freeing the slaves was a war tactic, done in order to keep the English and the French from helping the Confederacy and to cause economic disruption. We learned that in school. In the 1970s. So I don't understand your point. He was a great president, and myths do tend to stick to men of great stature.

And there were several reasons why the war was started...

Lincoln didn't end up doing that, because Lincoln ended up dead.

The myth of the honest leader is to condition people to accept every lying utterance as gospel.

Forget your difficulty understanding. Let me ask you: Do you have a problem with children swearing oaths to the state on a daily basis? What would you say if the Nazis or Stalin did the same (which they did?)

Honest leaders only exist in hindsight and because they won on some level or another; otherwise they would not be history.

I think it's ridiculous how some here are warming up to Nigel over the past few days. You seemed to have forgotten his slimy ways.

Who cares if he joined in with bashing Casey? He only did that because Casey kicked him to the curb. The speed with which he switched sides says it all. This guy will go wherever and to whomever can give him a spotlight and feed his attention-whore desires.

Now he's entertaining discussions on the economy over on his blog? No thanks. I don't go to pin-vendors/failures for that subject. Why is anyone else?

"Let me ask you: Do you have a problem with children swearing oaths to the state on a daily basis? What would you say if the Nazis or Stalin did the same (which they did?)"

Yawn....

Dear "lost cause"

No, because I make my kids read, listen, and do other things besides what they get in school.

My parents taught me never to accept the "party line" as a kid and we pass that on to our children. Particularly since we are members of what the government likes to keep calling "minorities," who have been herded into internment camps (the Japanese), given syphillis (African Americans--Tuskegee Experiment), used as guinea pigs for new drug innovations such as birth control pills (Puerto Ricans), and forced into slavery (African Americans, Native Americans), provide slave labor to build American infrastructure (the Chinese and railroads, African Americans and the whole freaking East Coast). I could go on forever, but what I and my family do is to keep informed, read alternative sources of the media, remain skeptical (but never paranoid). I work hard and don't cry racism--but I do recognize oppression and will speak out against it. Yes, myths abound, but I've always been taught to read beyond them, and find out more. I can't afford to do anything less.

Anything else?
