Life Zero Point Nine

The latest hissy fit over at IAFF got me thinking. There was genuine emotion that haterz™ were messing with his blog. He cares more about it than he does reallife™. I understand that he thinks he has some control on the blog that he doesn't have in reallife™ but talk about screwed up priorities.

Meanwhile, in the real world the global equities scavenger hunt hasgot my full attention. If China has a correction that hurts thei burgeoning investor class they could find thenselves with embarrasing social unrest just as the '08 Olympics ramp up. Unfortunately we all know that the ruling classes there only have one response to unrest. What they don't know is this time it won't work. The ripple effect consequences of their stockmarket excesses are scary.

Actually, more like a feeling they are messing with his entire universe, which has pretty much shrunk down to the blog.

I do think there is a certain hint of fracturing under the surface, but it may be much more based on things which have little to do with what is publicly revealed on the blog - for example, I'm pretty sure his phone is becoming a source of true annoyance - think about how many collection people are likely involved with his debt at this point. As for his mail - ignore mode becomes less likely if the postman is bringing by certified mail on a regular basis.

He is losing control, and that fact is slowly grinding its way through his mind.

Oh - murst

Rob Dawg said...

Casey hasn't had control since he pulled the trigger on 6 houses a year ago. What he's losing now is the illusion of control he built up for himself as an avoidance mechanism.

Yesterday Lawnmower Man spoke out against at my GWB-like surge against open comments.

Here's the bottom line as I see it. There's just nothing more to learn from this guy.

This guy has made zero effort to turn his life around and gain control of things. When you read entries over at debt kid's blog you get a sense of contrition, embarassment, sacrifice and integrity.

HAVE WE EVER SEEN THAT FROM CASEY?

No. Which just tells me he's a scammer. And what's worse is he's trying to use his blog and everyones hate for future gains. Attention is the only thing that guy has going for it and i'm sure he's desparate to try to cash in quickly on it.

If there are investigations and arrests to come, i'm sure by now those balls are going. Some of the mortgage fraud cases coming up now have been under investigation for years, so if there is one we'll know someday.

Right now instead of playing jr. internet detectives our best course of action is not more Q&As, not a boycott but a full frontal assault to ruin any hope of monetizing that site.

I don't know how he's lasted this long. That must be part of the story he isn't telling us. Maybe he's getting public assistance? That was his urgent business last week? Maybe the Hammar suspension cut off the only cash he had just before the big payday? It will dribble out. We'll watch.

The Chinese sense of nationalism will overshadow any social issues during the Olympics including fallout from a stock correction. The Party has a firm grip and will not hesitate using the military to keep things running the way they want. Beijing's plan for '08 includes shutting down all industries in the area prior to the Games and sending all the transient workers back home. With airtight control, everything will look peachy......

You just put the fear of god into Nigel by even suggesting that the 08 Olympics might be at risk. The poor guy has leveraged his future economic positions in another Olympics.

Control is very relative - we all may accept the fact that since signing a number of financial documents Casey has lost control, but that isn't the same as Casy seeing it that way.

I still think the phone calls are getting to him, for example. And since bill collectors as a class tend to have little respect for the law - after all, they are just in it for the money, which the bill collector sees as rightfully theirs - I can imagine an incredible number of calls at any residence or 'associate' of Casey's.

We can all speculate on the various forms of hell he may be in, but it is his recognition of them which seems to be growing.

Whether this is just another move in the worthless chess game of his life is another topic.

I don't think we need to worry about Snowflake making money off of the site. He couldn't monetize that site if his life depended on it (and he acts like it does). He can't do anything on his own and he can't ever keep his end of a bargain. His word is beyond worthless, it's a given that he's going to fuck over any partner stupid enough to team up with him. He exists only to leech off of others' hard work.

I think we should prevent him from making money off of the site or spinning his story untruthfully, make law enforcement and the IRS aware of any pertinent details, and generally do whatever we can to make sure fliptard takes his lumps. But above all, we should have fun and entertain ourselves while doing it. We may never make a difference, but who cares as long as we have a good time.

That's what has kept me here. IAFF has drawn together a lot of excellent smartasses who always make me laugh with your tomfoolery. That's why Casey and Nigel hate the haterz so much. We got the funneh, the munneh, and thus we get the hunnehz. All they got is the dummeh. And some Axe body spray.

My wife is a resident at the local medical center here, which makes us 5AM EarlyRizers™ every day for this month's cardiac rotation. I personally was shocked Rob posted a new blog entry this early, and I had to jump at it ("OMG! It's been up for 8 minutes and no First™!!!"), never having been First™ before.

It's unclear to me how well the PRC can control widespread unrest caused by, say, a large stock market collapse in Shanghai, since there are a lot more enabling technologies for dissidents compared to '89. Cell phones, Internet, etc. Yes, they have the power to shut down large parts of these networks, but that in itself would be catastrophically bad and catastrophically visible. On the other hand, I'm not sure how much of the population would be affected by such a crash: China is a huge, still mostly poor country, and what part of the population has a large fraction of their savings in Chinese stocks, and would also wind up being wiped out, without recourse, by such an event? Interesting times, indeed.

Following up a bit further on the PRC/Shanghai stock market/Olympics thing, I'm making a mistake in thinking of the PRC as a monolithic entity, as opposed to a bunch of people with a varying motives and motivations, etc. Similarly, the PRC leadership, say, is not the state, and, at the end of the day, orders from the top are only as effective as the willingness of the men in the tanks and carrying the truncheons to carry out those orders.

How would a large Chinese financial shock affect the different factions in the PRC? How would it affect the legitimacy of the leadership, and, in turn, affect the willingness of the men with the truncheons in carrying out what orders they may receive? Those are the unknowns here.

So what's all this about this Hammar Corporation?

I feel like I came in on the middle of a conversation about that one, and I can't be the only one...

Anyone want to give a quick overview?

Anonymous said...

OH, I am sure Hammar was completely legit. I mean, we all recall the email Casey sent to one of his high school friends, right?

***************************
To everybody.....

Yes I DID send out that email to try to find some private lenders who want to put their money to work with me.

I wanted to use the money to bail out the properties, sell them and pay the lenders back. I wanted to also use the money for buying new properties. I was going to explain everything to a private lender once we meet.

To make it safe, I was going to secure the lender's money by a trust deed against my properties.

This strategy was tought[sic] at one of the seminars I went to. They said to go to your friends/family and see if anybody wants to be a private lender.

What I did wrong was to make it seem like my business was going great when really I was in trouble.

The right thing to do when you approach somebody to borrow money is to be upfront with your financial health so that the private lender can make a smart decision.

However, I was desperate and sent out that first email.

Then I realized that it was wrong to hide the fact that i'm really facing foreclosure, so then I send another email to make sure everybody understands my situation.

So again, I appologize[sic] for not being upfront. I'm learning a big lesson through all this stuff.

Keep in mind that being a private lender on RE deals is NOT a scam. Its actually a great way to get a nice return.

Just make sure you know the strength of the borrower and make sure you get your money secured by real estate with some equity in it.

Contents from the come-on email to his "friend" while Casey was 2,2 mil in debt:

From: Casey Serin
To: [BCC list]

You’re receiving this because you’re in my personal mailing list. You’re a friend, family or an acquaintance or past co-worker or client. If you don’t want to receive occasion updates from me please use the automatic unsubscribe link at the bottom. Thanks!

Long time no talk! Yes I have not been good at updating everybody and keeping in touch. So here is a 1) quick update about what I’ve been up to, and 2) an opportunity to put your money to work with us in the real estate business

[…]

This January I quit my job to do real estate investing full-time. Together with partners in the area we buy and sell houses for fast gains and we also hold property for appreciation. In the first part of the year I personally bought 7 houses in 4 different states. It’s not all easy - there is definitely a learning curve. It helps to have experienced associates to help me along.

Now what??

We have a unique opportunity to continue to expand the real estate business. Because of the market reversal in California there is going to be many people in trouble with their loans. People have been buying more home then they can afford or refinancing like crazy. Foreclosures are already on the rise and they are going to sky-rocket in the next several years.

There is an opportunity to 1) help people out of trouble and 2) make some money. Service and integrity comes first though. I know what its like to be behind payments and face foreclosure. I refuse to be a “shark” investor.
It must be win-win, or no deal.

Want to participate?

Do you have money that’s sitting in an account somewhere earning an embarrassing 1-3%? Are you comfortable with your retirment money sitting in a volatile stock-market?

Maybe you’re not investing at all. Are you comfortable trusting social security to take care of your retirement?

Invest your money with us and get 24% fixed return secured by real estate.
We use your money to buy and fix houses improving the area and helping sellers in distress.

Benefits to becoming our private lender:

* we pay fixed 24% interest on your money - reliable returns

* compounded monthly - your interest is making interest and it grows exponentially

* secured by real estate - just like a bank, YOU get a mortgage against our properties to protect your investment

* start with as little as 10,000

* may use your 401K or IRA account - get tax advantages

* your money doubles every 3 years

* 10,000 grows into 100,000 in 10 years

Worst case scenario…

If we can’t pay you back, you get a good property. We only put your money into a house that has at least twice the equity as the amount you’re investing. We only invest into nice properties in good neighborhoods. If something were to happen to our business you can normally just sell the house at a discount and get your money out. What stock or mutual fund is going to give you THAT kind of security?

Limited opportunity…

We can only take a certain number of private lenders. Get back to me soon so I can explain in more detail.

Also please forward this to anybody else who may want to get a high return on their money. We pay referral fees!

His meltdown is in full swing. I'm just along for the ride. Some of those posts yesterday on IAFF were absolutely hilarious. Then to see Casey's post at the end of the day made me laugh for 20 minutes. I too think, as was mentioned earlier here, that Casey is realizing he can't even control his blog, while believing that it is the only potential money generator that he has.

If at all possible Casey, go talk to a shrink and release your feelings.

Snowflake:

"Either way, I have too many opportunities, and big deals in the works."

Big surprise - I guess that then there is no need to pursue that W-2 job thingy, then...

And, after all, there are more important things to spend his time on, such as obsessively documenting R. Cote's frequently inadequate contributions to the United Way and other personal failings.

Should we start a pool on when Casey gets around to admitting that he did nothing to fix his pool - after all, how can he be expected to put a few gallons on bleach into the pool without His Team to handle the actual execution?

The new Three Minutes Hate anti-Rob Cote blog, and the outpouring of attacks a few months ago at a time when Casey was also having troubles does indicate (as does the Earth Mission blog) that Casey's happy-go-lucky, itsallgood, surfer-type persona is carefully constructed - and there is something considerably uglier beneath the careful construct. Again, big surprise.

So these begging letters are from Casey's Hammar Corporation? If he really did write and send those, he is inutterably shameless. He is nothing but the petty, conscienceless scammer that some have characterized him as.

As far as yesterday's shenanigans go, whoever came up with Durtee Penni was inspired by the Muses themselves. Or, possibly, Satan.

Anyway, well done.

Today's clarification from the Casester:

"[To clarify, I deleted the last 100 comments or so because it got so bad that I didn’t want any of it to be indexed or seen. I didn’t have the time to sort the good from the bad. This whole thing is getting to be too much. Maybe I’ll sell the blog/domain, maybe I’ll keep it and take on a partner to handle the management of this thing, maybe I’ll put some systems in place to make it more efficient. Either way, I have too many opportunities, and big deals in the works. The blog brings awesome opportunities and connections and there are ways to monetize the traffic that I was just starting to do. I would also love to help people in foreclosure. But with everything I have going on and coming to me at once and the financial pressure of making ends meet while I wait for the bigger stuff to take off has been really tough to handle. The constant negativity from the comments doesn’t help either. Something’s gotta give.]"

Anonymous said...

I'm not so sure the "Dawg, an alternate take" site is Casey. I'm pretty certain it's Nigel. "Hence the Comment removed by administrator."

Here's the trouble Nigel created. He liked Casey, and we jumped all over him. Then he tried to casually switch sides, and now we hate him more. Whoops.

As for Casey, maybe it's finally sinking in - he can't monetize, he can't control it, all he's got is Goodthingsarecomingsweetdealz. So I guess that's probably a bitter pill to swallow. He's also addicted to the attention, negative or otherwise. He can't help himself. Blog will be back up and running faster than you can say West Nile Virus.

Hi all, I'm a bit new to Casey and IAFF, but in true train-wreck style, I've spent alot of my free web time working my way through his archives. I have to say I'm blown over by this guy, but not in disbelief. I was raised in SoCal and I've met alot of guys that fronted like Casey (I've just never seen their dirty laundry aired so publicly.)

One thing I can't believe is how HORRIBLE he is at handling everything yet he STILL thinks he is gonna have some "Sweet Deal" to get him out of all this. Does he really believe that or is he just saying that? I read his "What Really Happened in Pheonix" post recently. It seemed he had at least some people wanting to "partner" with him on account of his notoriety at zero cost to himself, but it seems he repeatedly made the worst choices at the worst times and he came away with nothing but burnt bridges. Heck, he can't even get AdSense anymore. He is, by every account, a WORST CASE SCENARIO. I sometimes have trouble believing he is real...

Oh, and I can't get over this post:

http://www.iamfacingforeclosure.com/106/the-pressure-is-increasing-2/

"You see, I unintentionally gave her the impression that I was successful when we were dating (I still had some money left from from my first condo flip).

Later, right before the wedding, she found out that I was really “broke as a joke”. I even bought the ring on a credit card and went into debt for the marriage expenses. She came into the relationship with no debt and excellent credit expecting stability and married into a financial storm without really knowing it.

She also expected for me to pay for college so she can finish her 4-year degree. Her parents were paying for it before but stopped as soon as she got married. I told her not to worry about it. I have it under control."

Wow, so he Bullsh*tted his wife too and screwed up not only her credit, but her college career? If I were her father I'd have already sent Casey "a message" Soprano Style. I wonder what the real story is behind that. Is Galina a Russian immigrant too? Maybe that's why she is still around.

flailing forward said...

I guarantee you Nigel was watching IAFF last night. Did you see how fast he threw up a post on Foreclosure Avoiders after we started to direct people over there?

TK, you nailed it on the head. Only Nigel would delete comments at a troll blog. He deletes them because he wants to harass Rob but doesn't want the name Nigel Swaby attached to the blog. We all know who is behind it.

If we want to make it stop, all we have to do is point some of his real estate carnival buddies over there to see what their good friend Nigel is up to.

Hammar,

Apparently Casey purchased an aged corporation on Jan 17th only to have the FTB suspend on Feb 1st. This could be any number of routine issues or they could have spotted something shady. The FTB is a sharp bunch. Routine or no we can deduce several things. He hints that he paid $4,000 for this aged corporation with an existing D&B. Someplace he also said he took out a similar amount in corp credit presumably to pay for the corp itself. Several times he made clear he had no intention of paying personal expenses but rather he was going RE investing again. Here it is April and still no FTB release. Not a good sign. Another deadend and deeper in debt. Maybe staring into the cool greenessof Muncy was Casey's moment of staring into the abyss and the abyss staring back.

I love Casey's new little "screw you guys, I'm going home" comment. Especially:

The blog brings awesome opportunities and connections and there are ways to monetize the traffic that I was just starting to do.

It's amazing. He really, honestly believes that he has blow-the-doors traffic independent of yesterday's circus. Why on earth does he think people read his blog, anyway? For biting swimming pool commentary?

He'll be back. Give him a day or two to lick his wounds, he'll turn commenting back on with a "a few people messed it up for everyone, we're gonna try this again, but if it happens again *then* I'll be mad" post.

Like others have said, the blog's the last thing he has. That little life preserver graphic is relevant after all.. clinging to IAFF is the only real hope he has left.

Goin' for coffee..

El Gringo said...

I just checked out Nigel's two blogs. Hardly any comments, so I'm guessing he deletes anything negative. That is probably what IAFF would look like w/o "Haterz."

I think it's the nature of the real estate freaks. You just can't talk to them, especially if you aren't drinking the kool-aid I have a friend who does mortgage brokering for a well known bank and is basically not working at this point (no business.) I've never been able to discuss real estate with him. He moved to Tampa in at the top of the market because he thought it was "hot" and I knew better than to say anything.

I still showed him IAFF in the hope he'd give me some dirty laundry from around his own office (train-wreck impulse) and he was like "Yeah, gonna be some great deals in the next year" and I was like "a year?" I gave him some historical #'s for comparison, looking at minimum 3-5 years cycle across a number of markets and after a couple of emails his response was "Oh, I forgot you worked in Real Estate." LOL! If I did I'd have been smart enough to make money and GET OUT while my Karma was still good.

Real Estate retailers are so cheezy. It's funny that so few of them actually own cash-flow positive rentals. They buy into their own BS so much that they fall into the same traps as their sucker s - err... customers.

@Gringo: I checked your site and saw you live in FLA. Wow. If any state can compete with Cali for housing mania it's FLA.

No kidding.

You know, I don't think it's a coincidence that both states have heavy delusional-thinking industries - California, movies; Florida, cheesy theme parks, etc. Around here, people are pretty much encouraged to run with whatever fantasy they have on hand, as long as they're spending money.

The Orlando area currently (last I checked) has an open stagnant inventory of about 25K units, and still hardly anyone is dropping their prices from 2005 levels. It's insane. A good friend of mine just finally sold her house - after NINE MONTHS on the market - by ultimately chopping $65K from her original asking. Half a dozen other houses in the same neighborhood have been for sale longer, smaller houses on smaller lots, asking more than her original asking.. and they aren't budging on price. The local HOA (get this) blames it on a couple of slightly unkept lawns. Let's all pull together to keep property values up! *smile*

It's like this everywhere here. Delusion, delusion, delusion. It's gonna be a bad summer and fall here for a lot of people. Everything tends to screech to a halt in summer, power bills go WAY up, and I really believe that the situation in September will be a lot uglier than now. Home sellers here in FL have about four weeks to get the hell out of Dodge.

El Gringo said...

@Honestly Wondering.

I never thought about the "delusional industries" aspect. Maybe there is something to the "Hollywood Effect" in SoCal.

I always attributed it to the high transplant populations. Lots of people with no roots and very little frame of reference... They are all too eager to reach for anything to give them the security and social affirmation they lack.

...kind of like Casey Serin.

Sprezzatura said...

As usual, Casey wraps a pound of shit around a nugget of gold.

IAFF.com is, in fact, worth some money. There are people who will pay cash for URLs that have good Google juice, and IAFF does get a lot of traffic. But as always, what Casey thinks IAFF is worth and what it's really worth are not the same thing.

He's only got a Google PageRank of 5, and considering how much traffic he gets, that's quite low (my own personal blog is also a 5 and I get a small fraction of his traffic). He has very little presence on Technorati, and none on Alexa. And he doesn't have any real record of income generated from the blog. In short, all of those things take away from his ability to demonstrate the site's value.

I could see him getting $5,000 for the site. Maybe even $10K. But it's not worth any amount of money that will be more than a drop in the bucket compared to the size of the hole he's in. Which just goes to show how Casey has the reverse Midas in this, too. If he'd done things right he could have a site worth considerably more than that. Of course, if he'd done ANYTHING right he wouldn't have needed to create the site in the first place.

Somebody need to change the banner graphic of IAFF to reflect its current green condition.

IAFF.com is, in fact, worth some money. There are people who will pay cash for URLs that have good Google juice, and IAFF does get a lot of traffic. But as always, what Casey thinks IAFF is worth and what it's really worth are not the same thing.

I've been thinking that over more and more lately.. he might be able to get someone to pay decently for it, but it'd be the bigger fool. All the factors that make IAFF a valuable domain are transitory and offset by some serious shortcomings.

We know that nearly all of his regular traffic comes from trainwreck gawkers. He and Nigel claim 3000+ backlinks, but really.. how many are anything other than "look at this idiot" references? I'm also willing to bet that quite a few are direct links to individual posts - they'll go dead when the pages come down.

Anyone buying the IAFF.com domain will inherit a bit of momentum after it changes hands, but it'll be shortlived. Next time Google recrunches PR, the domain will likely be worthless.

As usual, Casey's focused on outward appearances rather than underlying fundamentals. He'll have to find someone who does the same to get any real money for IAFF.

The PRC barely held it together in '89. That was pre IM and swarm texting and it was just disaffected students. If there's an economic shock to people just now tasting a decent standard of living and you knock them back They won't turn on you directly but they won't support anything you impose and they won't object to a little underclass unrest to prove their point. Then you've got the poor 22 yo in the tank just getting a message that his parents are financially ruined in a stock scheme run by your Commanding General who all but ordered you to pump the shares. Those turrets pivot.

Anonymous said...

Serious economics today then instead of boy blunder.
My concern is that the US has been pumping money into the system, M3 rates at 11% is it?,so the real value of the dollar is falling. The problem comes when PRC and others who are holding dollars want something else "more valuable/stable" and start swapping dollars for what? Real estate - unlikely at present prices. What about buying elsewhere like Europe instead? Won't need dollars for that, so unlikely, besides they are holding dollars so can't do a big swap without devaluing your holding. So that leaves shares and similar investments. Could be the only long term sensible option. I await your comments.

Has anyone listened to his CashCall phone recording? Apparently this guy did, and thought Casey was... less than forthright... sure hope Cash Call partner doesn't get sent a copy of his blog... oh noes!

Arthur,
Yeah, I've seen the "shadow" M3 anywhere from 10%-13% which is borderline insanity. The only reason the dollar hasn't tanked more is because so many other currencies are doing near the same thing. I gotta get me some of those Everbank Viking denominated CDs before the shakeout in currencies. Liquidity is chasing assets all over the globe. I'm surprised gold hasn't done better. Disclaimer I have some Jun speads only about $10/oz out of the money right now. I put my money where my mouth is. IMO the inate value of shares have been diluted by shareholder emasculation and corrupt corporate practices. You just don't really own the company like you once did. They don't need you anyway, there's the credit markets. Anyway, the ChiComms are scarfing up resources like crazy, crazy like foxes. And the US? Locally we just told BHP that they can't invest $2bn in an offshore LNG plant to supply desperately needed relatively clean and ultimate less expensive energy. The idea of recession resistant industrials is a possibility. I see new strength in pushing and hold price increases so maybe them but I'm not even a middling amateur. I am doing pretty good in the CNBC stock challenge; top 22% with no fake bonus bucks involved but wait until my Mon close trade all-in to Amgen before any judgement is rendered. That could be a massive roll of the dice.

New here, hopelessly addicted to the IAFF trainwreck.

Can someone tell me what this "Earth Mission" blog is and if it's still viewable?

As for the IAFF website value, it's already been banned from AdSense, which would put a lot of potential purchasers off, as AdSense is one of the "sweetest" ways of monetizing such a website. Getting it reinstated is feasible but probably very tricky. The domain name might have some value, but any RE professional with a reputation to consider only needs to google around a little to get a feel for its history. A domain parker might pay a couple of thousand $ for it.

As a website it's a fixer-upper with a pool full of mosquito larvae.

M3 is the same here (I'm in the UK in case you were wondering) but we have higher interest rates so that is what keeps the £ price up here. Problem is we have similar silly personal debt levels and we are trying to control inflation by interest rate rises. It's difficult to know what to do. If you go for Japanese Yen you are banking on a big shift in currency rates which may happen if the carry trade unwinds. You could go for gold, but neither have a "dividend" in terms of a paying interest rate.
If you are into the markets then I saw a chart of one of the sub-prime lenders a few days ago and it was on it's way down from a classic "head and shoulders" top. If I had any spare money it looked a prime candidate for a "put". Can't remember who it was though, sorry, but it was on here http://www.mortgageimplode.com/

The "Earth Mission" blog was a pre-IAFF personal blog Casey ran for some months, then later deleted in an attempt to hide a record of his activities. It contained information about some of the properties and his rehab efforts, among other things.

Some folks have found and preserved cached copies of the blog but I don't have handy links.

@ Nodebt
Earth Mission text archive here.

It's easier to read if you download it and open it in notepad or something. Many of the entries are hilarious.

Here's a summary if you don't want to go through it all.

Rob/Sprezzatura-

I've temporarily posted Casey's Earth Mission Blog at my blog. So, I'm blogging about a blog about a blog on the blog's old blog, or something like that. Feel free to rip it and post it on your sites.

Damn you flailing forward! LOL

Off topic, I was planning to hit Costco since food is running real low at home, even less than Casey showed in the fridge in his photo. Anyway, I usually hit the Costco in Folsom, but noticed that the Stockton Costco is only 6 more miles of driving. The Stockton Costco is on Hammer Lane. Oh so close to Hammar Investments. And Stockton is a hop and a skip from Modesto...

ratlab said...

Close in name to Hammar, not close in distance. Just wanted to clarify.

Thanks for the Earth mission post. Sounds like the guy sleeps alot. I can't imagine how a 24yo sleeps that much. When he isn't waking up at 3pm he's taking a nap at 3pm!!

And Yulia is Galina's Sister!? Wow, so is he renting a room or is it an actual apt?

I'm amazed family hasn't intervened on her behalf. It's very sad if they haven't. She was gullible and naive, but still a victim.

All of you haterz better stop making fun of my widdle Nigems, or I will have my award winning, Olympic pin selling, BMW driving, no web traffic getting, receding hairline present, gay leather wearing, son make up anti blog of blog blogs on all of you!

Just all of you bastards know that my Nigems knows someone, who knows someone, that met someone, who called someone, that has Gary Coleman's autograph! Yes siree! We are connected. Nigems has a friend that is a super secret CPA, hit man, green beret, super hero that can read your minds.

Nigems also thinks he has super powers when he wears his Scooby Do undies and runs around in his cape and mask yelling, " Look mom! I am an award winning blogger! I can create multiple blogs where no one comments. WHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Now, I have to go now. Nigems has to go poopie and he likes it when I wipes his bottom.

Oh, and don't forget to visit his blog here, THERE, Over here, right here, kinds here, and you missed here

@flailing, ratlab:

links most appreciated. More surfing fodder for my inter-work breaks.

Interestingly, IAFF is not in archive.org - can we credit Snowflake with at least that much technical foresight, or is it a fluke? I tend towards the latter, seeing as he doesn't seem to have a robots.txt file.

el gabo-
How did you like them taking the xmas tree out on Feb. 28th? That was funny as hell.
Galina seems about as lazy as Casey to me. I don't have much sympathy for her.

ratlab-
You should definitely nab some Modesto pool progress photos if you're out that way. We could try to trackback a link with them onto his blog.

I know you've been to the Sacramento houses, but have you ever been by local rich dad's place? I'm wondering if the Paul Prestwich Secure Tomorrow Asset Protection connection is really him or not. Casey says that was the previous tenant, and he also said back in November that rich dad had just gotten new officespace.

Anyway the address is 3636 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95821-2008 if you don't already have it.

El Gringo said...

@FF, saw the xmas tree reference, missed the date. Feb 28th? LOL. I guess I'm just sympathetic because people I know (my sister) have gotten really duped by frauds like Casey. I'm sure she is lazy (she hasn't bothered to break up w/ him) but she isn't a fraud and was at least going to school and working before Casey derailed her.

Re. Ratlab... YES!!! Take a pic of the pool! We need a pic of the pool!!!

I'm out of Foster Farm Frozen Chicken Breasts, Pasta, and various other Costco goods... be back in a couple of hours. ;)

Sprezzatura said...

I'm back from a run to Whole Foods. The Spouse and I decided to see how much of our normal shopping list we could pick up @ WF and how much more than usual it would cost.

Some stuff -- pasta, tomato paste, black beans -- was the same price as it would be at Safeway, most stuff was 20 to 50% higher, and a few things were literally more than double the price (Seventh Generation detergent instead of Tide, for example). We didn't need any meat or chicken this week but we noticed the same held true at the meat counter -- some stuff was 'normal', other stuff was crazy expensive. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $6 a pound? No way.

Anyway, that was our Earth Day celebration.

miltons-ghost here again.

I didn't know that Casey admitted to misleading his wife before marriage. What a cad!

And if it's true that Casey sent a misleading email to all his friends and relatives promising 24% fixed interest repayment on their "investment", that's probably more fraud. It sounds like a ponzi scheme; how else could he repay a massive 24%? But then again, he has credit card debt at higher percentages; who knows what he was thinking.

And I have just read the details of his contract with prlinkbiz where he signed away all the rights to his blog and other intellectual property for some vague quantity of mentoring. That has got to be the most totally bone-headed move I have ever seen a person make.

I can't figure out which I like less - Casey the totally clueless entrepreneur, or Casey the shameless scammer.

Anonymous said...

Lately, Casey has been complaining about a lack of respect in the comments. His comments policy also put "disrespectful" at the top of the list of sins.

How can we respect somebody in his position? Everybody's entitled to a certain amount of respect from the start - and when we find out more about them that respect may go up, or it may go down. Casey's got a bad, bad reputation. While he continues to lie, scam, be scammed, defraud, and so on he deserves little respect. But if he'd do good things, like get a job or clean the pool, then he can expect more respect.

Anonymous said...

Here's my guess at Casey's situation:

Firstly, the pool is not cleaned. If it was, he'd have crowed about it on the blog. He said he was back from Modesto, so (if I can believe that) he's at least seen the pool.

He was back around 6pm. Estimating a maximum 2 hour drive to Modesto (correct me if I'm wrong here) he must have left around 4pm. If he arrived at Midday, that's only 4 hours spent cleaning. It's possible Casey dumped some chemicals in the pool. I doubt he tried to drain the pool. That probably takes days. He'd have to live in the house for a week.

Anonymous said...

Negativity ...

Casey's down on all the negative comments.

Actually it looks like realism to me. Other than the people laughing at him, pretty much everything else is advice on what he should do:

1. Get a job
2. Stop looking for sweet deals
3. Declare Bankruptcy
4. Turn yourself in

It seems Casey wants only the company of people like himself who believe that fortune is just around the corner, that all he needs to do is stick with it, do some sweet deals, finesse a few suckers and reap the rewards.

Anonymous said...

Casey's family ...

More guessing. No mention of relatives on Casey's side of the family. Perhaps they know what he's like. Perhaps Casey has a few priors. Perhaps they've disowned him.

He admitted in http://www.iamfacingforeclosure.com/106/the-pressure-is-increasing-2/ to misleading Galina before marriage. So Galina didn't know about his ways. In fact Casey said "She came into the relationship with no debt and excellent credit expecting stability and married into a financial storm without really knowing it". But was it a financial storm, back in April 2004? I thought Casey's big financial troubles started in 2006.

And right before the wedding, 'she found out that I was really “broke as a joke”. '

Hmm.

I have to wonder why Galina and Y haven't kicked Casey's ass out onto the grass already.

Anonymous said...

Someone was wondering if the private investor email was legitamitely sent by Casey.

I am here to tell you it certainly was:

"Hi Ramit, ..."

flailing forward said...

@ Milton's Ghost
Casey is the kind of guy that you would normally legitimately hate, but he's just such a dufus that you can't help but laugh. If you haven't read it yet, read the Earth Mission stuff linked above to get a picture of Casey in his natural element minus the spin he puts on it at IAFF.

But yes, pretty much all accusations that you'll hear levelled at him are true. We bash the hell out of him at IAFF because we have no sympathy left. Well, I kind of feel sorry for him for being so retarded, but given the chance he'll screw somebody else over in a heartbeat. I just want him to reap what he's sown.
