Doodie!

Poooooolathon! So much better than a beg-a-thon. Casey, you promise to stay in that pool as-is (you remember that term?) until you raise enough money to buy a do-over with cashcall. Maybe even a little acapella number with the mosquito larvae as backup singers. Get Nigel (oh, excuse that), get "me" to put on one of those fake shark fins. As a finale you can get Nigel, errr me to swin around in the middle of the pool while you fly over in your sweet Jetta.

I am appalled at the insensitivity of the haters posting here. It is unthinkable to force Casey to spend an evening immersed in a pool of mosquito larvae in order to raise a few dollars. You heartless ^%$#@'s! Have you no compassion for the larvae?

I think someone should swing by and throw about sixty coleman lamp-mantles in the water. That should offer enough radioactivity to create one, giant, mutant mosquito.

Miranda Mayer said...

We can call him Larry.

Sprezzatura said...

@Steph: good one! :)

Rob Dawg said...

I are smarter than before I readed this blog. No idea the "good" mantles were radioactive. Cool, can you still get them?

Unknown said...

I will glady pay to see Casey jump in that pool and wallow around for a few minutes.

Anonymous said...

Okay, I am usually an astute admirer of Stephanie J's witty humor & fine beauty, but I don't get the Larry reference...

What's that mean Stephanie?

lawnmower man said...

Did yesterday's "lots of good things are brewing" comment refer to the Modesto pool's spontaneous-generation experiment?

Casey's been promising "great things are coming" pretty much weekly for months now. I wonder if he's even managing to convince himself any more...

(Great observation by Steph here, BTW.)

Miranda Mayer said...

There's no particular reference. I just think larry is a good name for a massive mutant mosquito. ::shrug::

Yes, the mantles are still radioactive. We use them to calibrate our geiger counters.

...what the heck are you all talking about? I go off and rot my brain with a couple or three days of nonstop MSM TV coverage of what happened down in Blacksburg VA (3 hours down the road from me) and I come back totally confused. Oh and that TV watching has also given me a killer headache.

On a pleasant note, no one from my county was killed or injured in the massacre at VA Tech (most popular college for kids from my area to attend). But that's not saying all that much.

I don't get the mosquito massacre references...but I got a lot of reading to catch up on.

Ah - Larry was the name for the gigantor bug... that's what I missed.

Rob Dawg said...

Don't anyone feel bad. I thought Larry was something out of "Jimmy Neutron." You see Jimmy's friend Carl has this thing for llamas and... and...

Guys? Hey, where did everybody go and why are you all looking at me like that? What's that white jacket with looong sleeves and buckles for? No, nooooooo!

Miranda Mayer said...

The sad thing is that I don't have any kids to use as a good excuse as to why I know about Jimmy Neutron and Carl. Just plain nerdiness I guess.

LOL @ Kevin.
Gigantor. I use that all the time. I even sing the old theme song and stomp around like a giant robot just to be a spazz.

Rob Dawg said...

Jimmy Neutron is great. There I said it and I'm not ashamed. Hubert "Hugh" Beaumont Neutron, Jimmy's dad has this thing for ducks and pie and gets really annoyed because Jimmy is always taking apart his toasters for experiments. Hugh Beaumont was the real name of Ward Cleaver of "leave it.." fame. There's lots of that kind of subtext woven through the series. One adventure to the moon had them passing a black obelisk 1x4x9 in dimension.

Anybody up for a chorus of "Captain Scarlett?" Careful or I'll get all Clutch Cargo cult on your buttocks.

Cecil Adams says that Coleman's recent lamp mantles are no longer radioactive (but other brands may be):

http://www.straightdope.com/columns/031205.html

Smoke detectors used to have some form of radioactive material in them. Not sure if they still do... Also, good old tritium watches and clocks. I have the "modern" equivalent on my watch, and it only glows in the dark for 30 seconds or so, and that's immediately after being in very bright sunlight. Sad thing is, the exposure from the old tritium watches was miniscule, but it's still been phased out. I've seen a couple of amateur-looking tritium watches and keychains on eBay, though.

We are indeed living in great times - Casey's neglect and laziness is now visible from space!

I wonder if Casey's neighbors can sue for having to living next to a putrid dump - maybe we should start e-mailing them.

He says that to get us talking over here. When my friend started a small company he was the only employee. I'd speak with him about the company and he'd always say good deals are coming and always used the word WE. He was one guy but he made sure to emphasize that WE are doing some great things.

Casey is no different. My friend's company never took off because he was blind to any realistic business suggestions. Casey is not much different. The guys who say I or MY all the time, regardless of their egos, tend to be more successful apparently.

Off topic,

does any one besides me think there is something fishy about the $300K offer on the muncy house. The values on other houses in that area are declining yet someone is willing to pay this price for a house that needs work.

If his neighbors want to sue Casey they better expect any judgment to be paid in sweet bartered tech skills. Casey is one of the most judgment proof people on the planet right now.

I checked the Zillow comp on the Muncy house a couple of times and it went down to about 310-315 but has come back up to about 340. So maybe someone thinks 300 is a good price?

With apologies to the Orkin/Zap'Em man that's gonna have to deal with the celebutard wannabe

INT. GARAGE [BARN] - DAY

The next morning. A door opens on a garage and an ORKIN [ZAP 'EM] MAN steps inside, carrying a tank of toxic gas. The morning light spills on an abundance of
spiders [cockroaches], crawling everywhere -- big ones, small ones, hundreds of them have moved in and taken over this dusty place.

The Orkin Man sighs and sets down his tank.

ORKIN MAN
Well, well, well. Movin' right in, are we?
Think we own the place?

He unfurls a hose from the side of the tank.

ORKIN MAN (CONT'D)
Got a little eviction notice for you, boys.

He raises a mask to his face and unscrews the handle on the top of the tank. LETHAL GAS starts to HISS from the end of the hose.

VOICE (O.S.)
Just what exactly do you think you're doing?

The Orkin Man turns around. EDGAR stands in the doorway to the garage, staring at him disdainfully.

ORKIN MAN
(shrugs)
Takin' care of your pest problem.

EDGAR
"Pest" problem? "Pest?"

ORKIN MAN
Yeah. You got a hell of an infestation.

Edgar advances on him, slowly.

EDGAR
You know, I have noticed an infestation
here. Everywhere I look, in fact. Nothing
but undeveloped, unevolved, barely conscious
pond scum. So convinced of their own
superiority as they scurry about their
short, pointless lives.

ORKIN MAN
Well -- yeah. Don't you want to get rid of
'em?

EDGAR
In the worst way.

Edgar lashes out quickly, jerking the mask off the Orkin Man's face with one hand --

-- and shoving the gas hose down his throat with the other.

THE ORKIN MAN'S CAR KEYS drop to the garage floor, and Edgar picks them up.

Well yeah but seeing as I turned down the last offer to pay me $61,211.47 and Galina could only scrape up another $850.07 to sweeten the deal I don't know if there is enough money to get me to do this and still have a little something left over for Casey.

The Google map really sums it up. If you look around the area you see several beautifully blue pools, and there's Casey's green, slimey, petri dish in the middle. A true monument to Casey's "I don't give a fuck about how much damage I cause" attitude. I guess it just doesn't cross his mind that he's affecting other people's lives for the worse.

If it's as bad as I think the people who live near that house should each file a civil suit against Casey. They should file the suits one at a time on consecutive weeks so icecream head has to get his lazy ass out of bed and drive 70 miles (I know people who commute longer than that) for a whole bunch of different court dates.

"Also I was told a section of the fence fell down on the backyard. My realtor is going to talk to the neighbor’s about that to see what they’re plans are, since it’s a community fence."

Community fence? Maybe, maybe not. My bet is it is the fence required because of his pool. Now the fucker has just left the pool open for any neighborhood kid to drown in.

I hope he rots in jail.

How about one of the Hater™ community who lives near the property buy a life-size dummy, dress it up in appropriate clothes, go to the house, and throw it face-down in the pool.

I swear, I may have to gnaw my own fingers off trying to prevent my typing half the things I am thinking about this one. Does he think sucking on a dirty hose is beneath him? Now we got him knowingly allowing a hole in a fence to an unattended pool in a residential neighborhood. Glad I pay taxes.

What about that rent money?

Casey does not give a rats ass about anyone, I wish his SIL would throw his azz out. No money, no money for rent, why should Casey waste $400 to clear the biohazard in his soon to be foreclosed property?

So what if some kid drowns, the neighbors get west nile virus? Paying 400 for this is just about as useful as paying cashcall.

I'd be more worried about criminal negligence charges.

Just thinking out loud here.

Would the Modesto health department also be interested in the cesspool, or are the mosquito people a division of the health department?
Where does one report code violations, such as the hole in the fence?
Who are the lenders on the property--they might also be interested, as they are presumably paying for the liability insurance at this point (and the insurer may be able to deny a claim if it resulted from the hole in the fence)?
What does it take to get a property condemned or otherwise declared uninhabitable in Modesto?

I clicked quite a few of the "who's on" and discovered a huge amount of people who have posted questions on yahoo search and then linked to IAFF from their search. A lot of people out there are looking for answers to questions regarding foreclosures and short sales and unfortunately they are being directed to that idiot's site. My son (who is extremely computer proficient) suggested that I might want to cloak myself when visiting sites that use sitemeter (I didn't do it here)...and he recommended a site called www.backfox.com

I then went to yahoo search and typed in "facing foreclosure help" (using uncloaked windows explorer) and clicked on IAFF..darn if I didn't show right up in the sitemeter, including my yahoo search question and link to my results page. I next used backfox.com to go to yahoo and did the exact same thing...but that time I was completely invisible.

Pretty nifty.

Commented at IAFF - I doubt it will get through the strict moderation.

"Does your sister inlaw work? Like does she leave the house every day, drive to her W-2 job and work for 8+ hours a day to pay her bills?

What do you do all day? What does G do all day? Not just bits and peices of the day (getting a filing cabinet from Ikea can be done in less than 30 minutes) - but the whole day.

Does your sister inlaw resent you & G for sitting around all day while she pays all the bills? Do you do chores around the house, like the laundry and the dishes to contribute? Does she accept these as alternate forms of rent payments?

Why aren't you ashamed to have her supporting you?

By the way, I doubt you'll post this - if you do, you wouldn't have the blue balls to answer it honestly. It isn't meant to be as cruel as it may sound. I'm genuinely curious why you feel it is ok for you and your wife to be slackers and be taken care of by other hard working individuals."

Just figured out my business plan for my second shell corporation. I'm going to start a weblog called Donthatenigel. To do this, I will need to finance:

A second house in which to have a second home office
Five quad-core Mac Pros with 30" displays
Lots of Ethan Allen furniture--no cheap-ass Ikea shit
A T3 line with haterz™-proof internet firewall

Once I monetize the Donthatenigel blog, I will then have enough cash flow to purchase all the land in a second state via eminent domain, and lease it back to the original landowners.

I'd never buy (or rent) a house with a pool again - twice burned. They are a financial drain and you never use them as much as you think you would. In Australia a lot of in ground pools are fiberglass and you can find enterprises that will remove the pool, fill in the hole and actually pay you a token sum for the pool shell which they fix up and resell to another sucker who hasn't experienced the joys of pool cleaning.

I now live in a Condo with a shared pool I used about once a week.

GENTLEMEN,

Thank you for your comments. I was inspired by a response Mr. SERIN received that warned ducks and Nessie will be living there.

You may have seen the movie "Amazon Women on the Moon" -- which featured a segment purporting that Nessie and Jack the Ripper were the same individual. Here is a still from the movie, featuring interaction between the monster -- who is wearing period costume -- and one of his victims. All I needed to do was to add the feminine satchel, and the picture was ready for public consumption.

Although the Loch Ness Monster is a fixture of public consciousness, there are very few good renderings of it -- only blurry photographs. As you are aware, people mistook benign objects in the lake as the monster. In a delicious twist of irony, it appears people would mistake the Loch Ness monster for something else.

No matter what, with yet another gaffe to his detriment, no one will mistake Mr. SERIN for a successful real estate investor.

Mr. SERIN consistently complains about negative comments. Considering the debacle with the swimming pool and (I am sure) the Modesto house's natural, organic, healthful spa -- exactly what type of positive comments does he hope to receive?

What do you suppose will happen when the Muncy short-sale buyer (assuming that this isn't a fictitious short-sale offer in order to stall foreclosure for another month) discovers the condition of the pool? Furthermore, what do you suppose the buyer will do when he discovers that the rest of the world was informed, but not him?

Whatever the prospective buyer will do, I'm sure it won't be nearly as entertaining as one of the "haters" helping themselves to a new IKEA filing cabinet -- which I am sure will be promptly left at the curb, as well as the rest of Mr. SERIN's belongings, in the next week.

You posts are always interesting Mr Singh. It provokes me to ask what happens if (when?) Cashcall or a similar creditor calls round to remove property to pay their debts. Apart from imagining two large gentlemen holding Mr Serin down while his murse is removed and Mr Serin muttering "It's all good...It's all good", what happens to the property so removed. I take it they turn up in a large van and remove goods for later auctioning off. Now that would be some sale: Blueball once owned by CS, nearly new IKEA office furniture, PDA, etc.
Can someone tell me what the process actually is in CA?

OK folks, I've had it. Time to start hammering him on this "week out of town". We need to make a concerted effort to beat it out of him. Photoshops, rampant speculation, all bets are off until he tells us himself what he's been doing.

Here are some quotes that should be thrown in his face to hold him down:

"Well, I am working and I am making money. Not a lot, but enough to get by. Not enough to catchup my defaulted loans but enough for food and rent."

"I actually want to make a positive difference and help people in foreclosure by sharing my story."

"Yes, perhaps I have not been very good about explaining things or I have given you partial information. I need to get better at that. But still, why do you have to jump to conclusions?"

"NO, I am not denying, hiding or running but instead standing up for what I have done and sharing openly in order to provide an example of what NOT to do."

"See the problem with my haters critics is that most of them don’t understand enough about what I’m doing to give me competent advice."

"Just because I’m facing foreclosure doesn’t mean I should stop living a normal life!"

"I’m not mooching off anybody. I’m paying rent for the rooms and my family willingly helps me with food from time to time. I’m in a time of distress and am blessed to have such great family support."

I also think perhaps being that the first quarter is out of the way, perhaps Mr. Serin would like to update us on his 2007 goals. Ahhhh, I'll do it for him.

1) no lying (For Sure!) Whoops
2) no money down (?) Whoops again - none to put down!
3) work part-time (?) Dang...

This morning I spent several hours talking to my wife about goals. Her 2007 goals/intentions for me and/or us:

1. Save her credit - no late marks and no BK!!
No, No and No!
2. Pay off her 27K of debt ASAP Not even close.
3. Have 12K set aside for a year of school at UC Davis which she will transfer to in the summerSnort!
4. Stable income - what I have right now doesn’t feel stable to her Cause it isn't you freakin' idiot!

Man this is like shooting fish in a barrel. He's a complete failure in every single thing he ever suggests. He has never, not once completed a single task, has he?

By the way how's ablebuyer that you said would be up and running going for you Casey?

Anonymous said...

I have been reading the links supplied by Mr Singh and my first reaction is that one benefit CS thinks he has is the corporation he appears to have created. I would not be surprised if this has been "sold" to him not only because of the lines of corporate credit but also on the basis of some phoney asset protection theory. i.e. transfer some stuff into the corporation and your creditors can't touch it.
One other piece of information I would be curious about, how long has the house he is living in been owned? If it was only purchased recently and the mortgage is highly geared then the owner(s) may well be needing the rent soon.

Anonymous said...

M Singh asked the eminently reasonable question which, in paraphrase, is "exactly how does Casey expect the readers of his blog to receive his comments?"

The astounding huge capacity for self-delusion on the part of the boy Casey should not be '"misunderestimated'.

There is an alternative explanation, in which he is merely trolling us by reporting his latest idiocies and lassitudes and ending them with a "taaa daaa".

After all, the only wild success at flipping experienced by Casey is the flipping of (and flipping off) initially open-minded folk to turn them into haters. His extraordinary ability to hit the right buttons borders on the supernatural, and leads to the accusations that he is deliberately trolling.

I have settled into this category myself, these days. Like some vaudeville villain, he plays up people's expectations in the hopes of keeping the traffic high on his site. His story daily becomes less and less consistent; the emperor has no clothes and people are starting to chortle and turn away.

I find it hard to believe that, at heart, the boy still swallows his own propaganda. The enormity of his failure and its potential consequences enfolds him and shrivels any of the scatty resolve that his flawed personality can muster up, dissipating it in Cargo-cult ventures and hair-brained schemes. Disaster only accentuates his weaknesses and he fiddles as Rome burns.

Anonymous said...

GENTLEMEN,

Unfortunately, I am not qualified to answer the excellent question posed by Mr. WANKSPITTLE.

I thought that the promise of rent money by Mr. SERIN to his sister-in-law was enough to establish a landlord/tenant relationship. However, California's definition of a tenant versus a lodger is listed in the Department of Consumer Affairs' Landlord/Tenant Guide:

A lodger is a person who lives in a room in a house where the owner lives. The owner can enter all areas occupied by the lodger and has overall control of the house. Most lodgers have the same rights as tenants.

However, in the case of a single lodger in a house where there are no other lodgers, the owner can evict the lodger without using formal eviction proceedings. The owner can give the lodger written notice that the lodger cannot continue to use the room. The amount of notice must be the same as the number of days between rent payments (for example, 30 days). (See "Tenant's notice to end a periodic tenancy".) When the owner has given the lodger proper notice and the time has expired, the lodger has no further right to remain in the owner's house and may be removed as a trespasser.

Now, here is my question. Does the presence of Mrs. SERIN as a fellow lodger force her sister to formally file an eviction notice with the courts?

I would like to hear from a California attorney on this matter.

I remain,

M. SINGH

segfault said...

I'm not a CA attorney, but if that's the only applicable statute, it appears that Galina and Casey each count as lodgers. It doesn't look like she could even legally kick out one of them. The statute appears to be written to cover the situation where someone who owns or rents a house and has a significant other living with them.

In practice, having mooched off of Yulia for so long, one day she may become fed up, and Casey and Galina may return to the house to find all their stuff out on the curb. Besides, if they tried to press charges, Yulia could turn state's witness against KC and Galina--generally, you don't want to sue someone unless your hands are relatively clean.

GENTLEMEN,

I am going to follow the actions of the wealthy Chinese fortune teller that was referred to earlier this morning -- and make a prediction of my own.

We have seen how Mr. SERIN has no problem asking for both money and labor -- in situations such as CashCall payments, the WordPress plugin code, and for help in cleaning his pool.

Perhaps his sister-in-law will find an alternative to the court system. She may recruit upstanding members of the tight-knit Russian immigrant community to perform binding arbitration between her and Mr. SERIN. (If this is the case, then perhaps his bartering agreement with the chiropractor may provide some welcome relief.)

However, more importantly: Where will Mr. SERIN live next?

My prediction is that he will ask his readers for lodgings. I suppose someone reading this message may attempt to agree to taking him in -- either because the reader believes such a situation would provide untold amounts of first-person comedy, or because the reader has fallen victim to Mr. SERIN's supposed mastery of "The Secret."

Whatever the case, I should not be the first to tell you that this would be a very, very bad idea.

My worst case scenario for CS would involve GS separating from him, possibly backed by her family. He would then be left on the street and GS would find some pro bono defence lawyer wanting to make a name for themselves. She (after the appropriate advice and coaching) then goes to, say, the FBI and plea bargains to avoid jail but drops poor CS in it with lines like "C did all the deals" "C just told me the figures after" "I didn't know that - I never finished the accounting course" etc. etc. Not a happy ending for little Snowflake.

Anonymous said...

As long as Mrs. SERIN keeps Mr. Serin around, eviction is a moot point.

I see, however that buying at the absolute, complete and utter height of the market is endemic in the Serin/Suprun family.

I would like to see more information on that sale. Anybody have access to those records? R-Boy? Could be that Galina or Casey was involved in the purchase of this home. They only paid $300K for it, so unless Yulia is a cashier, making the payments shouldn't be that bad...unless they have an adjustable rate and put no money down. Those things might make the Serin's rent all the more important.

segfault said...

M. SINGH:
"binding arbitration"

Hilarious... I too predict that, if kicked out, they will move in with KC's parents. I'm not sure that Galina's family will keep supporting her, as it appears she is just as unwilling to work as KC.

Anonymous said...

GENTLEMEN,

The $300,000 purchase price of the Snapdragon property is indeed interesting. Perhaps the terms of the mortgage is why his sister-in-law was amenable to the agreement at first.

However, I do not believe that Mr. SERIN would wish to move into his parents' home. Despite the trampoline in the yard, I doubt those lodgings would present an attractive option for him. You have noticed that he has resisted requests from his readers to abandon his current business ventures and obtain a steady paycheck.

He may ignore his readers and consider them "haters," but what will he do when his parents continually pressure him to find employment?

Something tells me he does not want to find out.

Snowflake is calling the house a "money pit" because he has to clean the pool.

What a lazy, lazy little boy you are.

If you'd gone by the house once a month and scraped the leaves out at the very least you'd have a lot less work to do. Maybe if you were a REAL businessman you'd have the cash to have the electricty on to run the filter.

And you're going to flip apartment buildings. Suuuuuure you are. If you can't take care of a small house like that (which someone could be happily living in if it were'nt for you, fucktard), what makes you think you can handle the financial responsibilities of an apartment complex?

You'd make slumlords look like stellar management companies.

God, what a whiny little bitch you've revealed yourself to be. When i was 24, I made a deal with my folks to stay at home while I was on college, to avoid rent: I took care of a full acre of landscaping and lawns, a full size pool, repairs around the house, and did the bulk of the heavy lifting of cleaning for my mom. It generally worked out to an hour or two per day, and a full day on the weekend, and I did it HAPPILY. It was great exercise, saved me a ton of money, and made my parents really happy to not have to do it.

And you're whining and begging for help to clean out one pool - an afternoon's work at MOST.

Have you EVER done any meaningful work that did not involve you sitting on your ass and whining, Casey? Do you know how to use a hammer, or a screwdriver? I know you're incabable of changing a tire. Do you call Home Depot or a handman when a lightbulb burns out? Or do you make Galina do it? Who put your new IKEA crap together? I'd bet a billion dollars it was Galina, as you are incapable of follwoing even basic instructions, let along the surreal and often challenging assembly methods of IKEA.

I have nothing but disgust and contempt for you Casey, and men-children like you. You are incapable of caring for yourself, or your dependants. DO NOT have children.

Yeah, the pool was green when you bought it...yet you marketed pictures of a CLEAN pool. Liar. You fucking liar. You don't even try to be creative about lying anymore.

That's all you are Casey, a filthy, lazy liar. You are beyond contempt.

I have noticed that when retail furniture requires assembly, the instructions are written in multiple languages -- such as English, Spanish, German, and Russian.

Mr. SERIN is known to understand two languages: English and Russian. Assuming his proficiency in Russian is similar to his understanding of English, and he takes cues from the paragraphs written in both languages, then there is a 60% chance he followed the instructions correctly.

According to recent posts excerpted here, "well-written" might not be an apt description. It is undeniable trolling, however much truth is in it.

When one has exhausted all resource, has abandoned dignity, and is thus reduced to one exploitable, meager, mundane "talent", the inevitable result is prostitution. It is indeed possible that Mr. SERIN writes in a way to generate as much negative feedback as possible. However, I would not be so bold as to rank him with garden-variety Internet trolls. Their out-of-pocket expenses nowhere match those of Mr. SERIN.

There are two interesting journal articles that might shed light on this situation. The first, Allure of Negative Feedback: Self-Verification Strivings Among Depressed Persons has an interesting premise: People with negative self-assessments "preferentially solicited unfavorable feeedback, although receiving such feedback made them unhappy." Why? Because the feedback helps "to confirm their firmly held self-conceptions out of a desire to maximize their perceptions of prediction and control."

Moreover, the research team discovered something else: Their major finding was that married persons with
negative self-views were more committed to spouses to the extent that their spouses appraised them
negatively. Of interest here was the evidence that participants were more committed to the extent that
their partners' appraisals "made them feel that they really knew themselves."
Does this sound like an "Inspector Guardian" that we know of?

The second article, which I believe has already been brought to Mr. SERIN's attention, is Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments. From the abstract:

People tend to hold overly favorable views of their abilities in many social and intellectual domains. The
authors suggest that this overestimation occurs, in part, because people who are unskilled in these
domains suffer a dual burden: Not only do these people reach erroneous conclusions and make
unfortunate choices, but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it. Across 4
studies, the authors found that participants scoring in the bottom quartile on tests of humor, grammar, and
logic grossly overestimated their test performance and ability. Although their test scores put them in the
12th percentile, they estimated themselves to be in the 62nd. Several analyses linked this miscalibration
to deficits in metacognitive skill, or the capacity to distinguish accuracy from error. Paradoxically,
improving the skills of participants, and thus increasing their metacognitive competence, helped them
recognize the limitations of their abilities.

Mr. SERIN has long been accused of holding overly favorable views of his skills in real estate, business acumen, public relations, and style choices. He has not had any formal college education or real estate training, and is therefore incapable of recognizing a "sweet deal" even if it was presented to him under objective criteria. Moreover, despite the constructive criticism he receives daily from mortgage brokers, real estate investors, and economists -- he continues to make the same mistakes over and over again, all the while relishing the fact that believes himself to be more competent than experts in those fields.

So yes, it is indeed possible that Mr. SERIN does need the "haters," and not just for the traffic.

I remain,

M. SINGH

Serin singed by Singh once again!

I tried to find Casey resonance in Political Ponerology: A Science on The Nature of Evil adjusted for Political Purposes II but it was too much of a reach. Your citations are cogent and well-chosen, M. Singh.

Yeah, there is a possibly could be a second, especially a silent second, that didn't get recorded. My experience has been that if a lender filed the lien, then it will show up in county records. But I'm sure not all records are current. So this could be one that isn't.

Excellent analysis Mr Singh.

What a waste. Homeless people could be living there, and probably wouldn't neglect the house as much as Casey has.

Where's the SOCIAL JUSTICE?
