Welcome New Casey Supporter

This is Brian. Brian is new to Caseyworld™. Brian is a titan in training. Brian is the future we Boom, Cusp, and Xs will entrust our later years. Let's give Brian a big ole' EN welcome at his all business blog at http://young-manager.com/ His inspiring story is also there: http://young-manager.com/?page_id=2

You could summarize his bio thusly:

1) Didn't hack it.

2) Didn't hack it.

3) Almost but didn't hack it.

4) Um, I have a job, of sorts

Yeah, I can see where this guy is a Casey fan.

Egad he's in training to become Casey...........all he needs is a man bag for his laptop and a "pied piper of financial ruin"@ hat

Oh.

Dear.

Did anyone check out the family page? Its a wee bit scary: http://thenickfamily.com/

Schnapps said...

Oh! I have a question! Maybe someone can help! Sorry, Rob, its a bit off-topic...

But in his last post, Casey finishes up with "At least I tried..."

Real answers aside, what does that mean in Casey-speak? What did he try, that in his world (where the sky is purple with orange polka dots, I imagine) would work?

Or is it a typical non sequitur from CS?

LOL said...

@Nicole

My guess is that he meant

"I tried to use this blog as a publicity ploy to sucker someone into buying my underwater houses and failed miserably"

Rob Dawg said...

First the "At least I tried..." was pure troll addenda. Now to answer your question; "Tried" in Caseyworld™ version 1 means he jumped off a cliff intending to fly. In Caseyworld™ version 2 "tried is the first half of the phrase "... and convicted."

Nicole,
Such wholesomeness and solid "family values" I think I'll vomit now.

I am stiff barfing from reading this

"My first passion (professionally speaking) is Team Building. Ever thing I’ve done since high school has been about Team Building, and that’s why I care so much about managemen

'bout all I can take of that blog

Comrade Brian states:

"I would certainly prefer Casey as my neighbor than the people posting so many nasty and bitter comments on this blog."

Dunno... given Casey's complete inattention to his properties, as Casey's neighbor you might end up with a severe problem with rodent infestation, as the rodents concluded that Casey's house was unlivable.

While reviewing Brian’s resume, I couldn’t quite figure out how he suddenly became an Executive Director after minimal related experience, but then had to ask myself WTF is Wheatstone Academy anyway?
“Wheatstone Academy equips students to think and communicate well so that they become credible and engaging advocates of the Christian worldview…”
Sounds like Brainwashing Academy to me. Whenever someone uses the term “Christian” it scares me a bit. In my family, we have Lutherans and Catholics and a couple Episcopalians (pronounced with some degree of scorn by those who aren’t) in addition to various off-topic Buddhist traditions, but none of them would describe themselves as simply “Christian.” Can someone explain to me what a generic Christian is?

Schnapps said...

@Mr. Nauseating

I know. Its so sweet it makes my teeth hurt.

And thanks for the clarification on the trying thing. Personally, I'm still sort of foggy on it. But, if I understood it, then I'd have to go live in Caseyland.

LOL said...

"Can someone explain to me what a generic Christian is?"

My MIL is a "Evangelical Christian" in other words a born again left wing Jesus nut who thinks Halloween is satanic (the kind of crap that Assembly of God and other Evangelistic churches preach). She would lock my DH out of the house if he refused to go to church 3 times a week. She also sent him to a "Christian school" similar to the type Casey's new BFF Brian runs for two years, when she finally put him back in public school he was two years behind academically.

That's the kind of "Christian" we are talking about here.

Posted this on Brian's blog (in case he starts taking after his mentor Caasey and starts censoring things):

Brian my lad,

This is your big big opportunity to get on the success track - just lend Casey some money.

He’ll guarantee great returns, and you can join the many, many individuals and major corporations who have happily lent money to Casey.

Act today, and you can juice Sweet Deals along with Casey!

BTW, I think that “the observable results” from Casey’s actions will develop rather quickly, actually…

What it is with Casey and his new found friend? Casey sends multiple houses into foreclosure and is not a failure. His new friend is 'Co-Captain of a championship high school football team.' Yet the other team score more points than his team.

segfault said...

Reason #2 why Brian loves Casey? Well, I'll let him tell you:

...he is candid to the core. His website is a shrine to candor.

If by candor, he means some sort of New Age, selective candor, then I suppose that's plausible.

Anonymous said...

Yep, Brian's started deleting comments - truly learning at the feet of the master.

He posted the following note (note that sarcasm isn't allowed so BE POSITIVE WHEN YOU POST):

"It seems I have inherited some of the vitriolic comments form Casey Serin’s blog. I don’t mind people expressing dissenting opinions. In fact, I enjoy them as they are necessary for discussion to take place. However, there is a kind of comment that kills all discussion. It tends to come in the form of sarcasm without a point. It’s a passive aggressive tactic. Rather than make an argument that another person could argue with this sort of person takes cheap shots and then claims to be “keeping it real.”

It seems that a hallmark of the anti-discussion commenter is anonymity. They don’t have a blog because they are not the kind of person to engage in discussion. They don’t dare put forward any ideas of their own. This is what I call the “whatever” person. They are like the kid that sits in the back of the class whose only trick is to say “whatever” to everything. Not only do they not have a blog, which would be a public record of their ideas, but they don’t even use a valid email address so that I can’t engage them in a private discussion via email."

-----

Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have a new moderator for Casey's blog!

He deleted my post!

It was this one:

Casey Serin Said,

I appreciate your kind words, Brian, but you appear to fail to grasp my essential nature: I am a criminal, and not a particularly good one. This will prevent me from a life of successful entrepreneurship, but I will pretend to keep trying.

There are many “haters” on my blog, but their “hateryness” does not prevent them from occasionally making valid observations. Some of them are very persuasive, so much so that I have begun to hate myself a little. As the haters wait by the sidelines, praying my car of dreams will crash and burn, I cannot help but float out of my own body, join the jeering crowd, and watch myself careen to my own flaming doom.

Is that bad?

I think this guy can be the runner up for biggest Casey ass kisser.

Let's take a trip down the road to succes shall we..

"Co-Captain of championship high school football team"

Ummm..dude that was almost 12 years ago..who are you Al Bundy?

"After high school I joined the Navy because I was interested in special ops. I didn’t finish Navy SEAL training, but dropped out.."

Trained to fail..oh make that fail forward. When the going gets tough..the Brian goes walking.

"After four years in the Navy I spent two semesters at Palomar community"
What's the matter, was actually going to class and earning a grade too much for you? there is a bell in the middle of the college that you could ahve walked to, rang, and shouted "I quit!"

“Torrey classes do not have lectures, written exams, or textbooks…”"

Ummm, then it's not a class, it's a scial gathering. Does anyone else see a pattern here? It seems like most of these losers that can't hack it in the real world migrate to stuff where they
1)Don't need an education
2)Don't need to work
3)They can consider themselves successful!

"While I have graduated Torrey I still have some coursework to complete in order to get my BS in Organizational leadership."

BS=bullshit right? A bachelor of science in organizational leadership? Do they give you a gold star you can put on the fridge? Can I get a BS in balloon animals?

"Executive Director" That's right brian, we'll pay you 5 dollars an hour..but get this, we will give you the title of "Executive Director"

" first passion (professionally speaking) is Team Building"

you gotta be kidding me. you have a passion to build teams?

"I have an entrepreneurial streak that will not quit."

Lifted straight from Casey's site.

"Nature and Beauty. I am of the opinion that beauty is not something extra that we add to our lives like icing on a cake, but an essential part of what is needed to flourish as a human being. Nature is the best expression of beauty, and people need to experience it in order to thrive. "

More new age crap, this is the kind of guy that is all for no grades in any public schools, that way no one feels bad.

"Don’t hesitate to email me. I always enjoy a good conversation"

So do I , which is why you won't be hearing from me.

It's CaseyMath(TM) - the sum of two numbers is whatever Casey and Brian want it to be!

"'How can I help it?' he blubbered. 'How can I help seeing what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four.'

'Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.'"

I couldn't care less about this nobody. If he's defending Casey, he's a scheisty guy, imo. Anyone with half a brain knows Casey is a con artist. That this guy is in Casey's corner should say it all.

Brian lacks a certain, um, follow-through for his exploits through life.

But I am glad to know that I'm the type of person that sits in the back of class and says "whatever." Awesome.

I rather be rich and anonymous than rich and famous/infamous (or poor in Casey's case). I don't advertise where and how I make money.

We don't engage in discussion? As if censoring comments when CS does get around to moderating is a discussion.

Maybe Brian is good at what he does now, who knows. But he has only read the dust jacket of the Casey Serin story and thinks Casey is on the up and up. He's done about as much work to research CS as the amount of work he had to do for those Torrey class. Unbelievable.

Wait for it... whatever. I could rant on, but apparently I'm a slacker, and I'm jonesing for a burrito I saved from last night.

Starting a Business. I’ve had lot of good business ideas and now I am actually executing one of them. My role in this new venture is to be the “business guy.” My other two partners have more specialized knowledge about the product, and I am working on refining the business plan, creating a management structure, accounting structure, budget/cashflow projections, etc. Robert Kiyosaki always says he cares more about the business model than the product. Seth Godin puts it this way, “a great idea can wipe you out.” I believe they’re right, and while my partners work hard to create an awesome product I am working just as hard to create a business model that will thrive.

Casey's new business partner. Great. Now we have a "business guy", an "idea guy" and an undisclosed "money guy". I wonder who the patsy is...

Argh another precious snowflake who hides behind his "Christian" beliefs to tell us how great he is.

I am so tired of these people thinking that posting their "thoughts" on a blog will equal success.

He's probably excellent at talking a good game, but if I was doing business with him I'd fire him or stop doing business altogether.

@protege

As a person that does look at resumes and conduct interviews, Brian's resume already has one, maybe two strikes against it. Lots of buzzwords, an extra space here and there, and terms that need explanation. It's not a bad resume, but it's not great either. Oh, a B.S. degree is not "pending" when it's actually "in progress". I'd really be interested in what he submits as him cover letters.

I'm also wondering why he resigned before finding another job. More curiosity than anything else.

Anonymous said...

Wait a minute...he played on a championship football team that LOST the championship game?

Now, I ran track in college (too skinny for the gridiron), but something was very clear to me...if you crossed the finish line first, you were the champion. Second place was not the champion. He or she was second (or the first loser if you want to be a tough guy about it). They don't award you a championship if you finish second by a few tenths of a second (although that would've been nice...I'd have a few more trophies!). Is football different? I'll admit I don't watch much NFL these days.

I'm only 24 (yes the same age as our little snowflake), but sometimes I feel OLD when I see pages like Casey and Brian's. They're off playing in some magic fantasy land while the rest of us toil and attempt to make a difference in the world. Shoot, it seems like most people here have the same story as I do, but I worked hard in high school to earn my way to college (financially, athletically and academically), then worked my way through college, and started out small in the scary "real world" but I'm slowly climbing the ladder doing something I love. And I don't have to answer to a single creditor. I honestly thought that's how the world works...maybe you can call me the naive one instead of Casey!

If Bri Bri was truly what he says he is, he'd be out there HELPING people.

A true Christian does not focus on greed and vanity like these two idiots. Guess I am now a "whatever" person (stupid, stupid, stupid term Bri Bri).

Casey and Bri Bri talk a good game about Christianity yet betray the very principles that Jesus taught.

Jesus was a great man and leader. Casey and Bri Bri and all the other sheeple are clueless snowflakes who have been overcoddled by mommy and daddy. Responsible parents do NOT coddle. They instill values and morality in kids and LEAD by example. They teach ethics and what NOT to do. They tell their kids to save money and work hard.

These idiots must not have listened or are part of this cancer our society has fallen prey to. This idea that filling our kids heads with nonsense (you are the best!) without discussing how the world works is a disservice to society.

I liked Brian's comment about people who "don't even have a blog", and how you can't tell their positions in life as a result.

It would be really funny if someone set up a blog detailing what a total liberal they were, and that they patterned their beliefs after the world's biggest liberal, Jesus Christ, quoting scripture to show some of Jesus's liberal beliefs.

And then emailed Brian asking for comment/dialog on their blog.

I'd do it myself, but I'm one of those cynical, lazy, back-of-the-classers.

Questions are nagging at me about this guy,

When selling me or any other person on an applicant/consultant I need to see a track record. What important "team building" has Brian been involved with?

Next question is how can he have an entrepreneurial streak that will not quit when his entire life has been community college, quitting the Seals, attending Biola (correct me if I am wrong, but I can't find if he finished!) and working for a non-profit. That's fine and all but far removed from an "entrepreneurial" person.

I will give him points on the reading thing. But then again, all the procrastinating talkers I know are full on readers who have done NOTHING in their lives.

He talks about THI over and over but again I can't find where he finished school! Again, why is he trying to sell himself as some accomplished entrepreneur?

And lastly, why does he think Casey will be an excellent entrepreneur? He has no willingness to pay attention to details (CRUCIAL in being at minimum GOOD at what you do), cannot do the proper diligence research on his investments and is lazy. Why does Brian equate willingness to take on foolish risks as the makings of the next business powerhouse?

I've thought about all of this and cannot figure out what makes this guy love what Casey has to offer. If this guy was the brilliant entrepreneur he sells himself as (booksmarts don't equate to much without success) would he loan Casey money? If he truly thinks Casey is a winner, I'd love to see his answer on why Casey would be worth more risky loans.

Answer that one Mr. Nick (any relation to Santa?).

Accountability and actual results mean nothing to these types, it's all about "personal relationships" (ie bullshitting and ass kissing instead of actual work).

Tell me about it. I'm lucky enough to have a boss whose credo is "hire the best people for the job and let them get on with it with next to no interference". Not at all coincidentally, he also runs the most productive department and the one where morale is highest, a combo you would have thought would be what everyone should aim for.

The only potential fly in this particular ointment is that he's due to retire in a couple of years, and I'm dreading getting someone like the woman you describe. I've had a change of boss along those lines before, and I ended up leaving after a year - and the fact that it took me a year to leave showed just how much I genuinely loved that job and hoped that this was a temporary blip while she learned how we worked best.

The problem wasn't so much that she was an obsessive control-freak micro-manager, but that she demonstrably knew less about this particular business than we did - she'd just taken it over, whereas we'd all been there a minimum of several years.

But because she clearly felt the need to make some measurable impact (I suspect she was well aware that things could have run perfectly well without her doing any more than signing checks), she kept changing things partway through logistically complex projects - with the entirely predictable result that productivity slowed to a crawl and morale went through the floor.

Especially as most of her changes were nonsensical - I suspect she was trying to shoehorn them into some theoretical concept that she'd got out of a textbook, whereas we favoured the far more radical concept of pursuing ideas that might actually work in the real world.

Oh Goodie!

Now I get to reread how little Brian Nick has done. I have never read so much text for so thin a resume. If he was trying to get me to throw his resume in the garbage I would have.

I don't know if anyone caught Casey's tone Re: tomorrow, but he sounds downright giddy about it!

"If I don’t hear back from the Modesto realtor Monday morning about the Modesto property auction being delayed then I will have two trustee sales to catch. I’m glad the Modesto one is conveniently scheduled for noon. So I can catch Sacramento at 9:30 and rush over to Modesto and hopefully make it in time. It’s going to be a crazy day."

"Here is the date, time and location from the letter:

East main entrance to County Courthouse
720 9th St, Sacramento, CA

Anybody coming? Anybody bidding?"

Chris·tian (krÄs'chÉ™n)Pronunciation Key
adj.

Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.

----------------------------------

There are doctrinal differences in the Protestant denominations that you describe (Luthern, Episcopalian) as well as between Protestantism as a whole and the Catholic church. (google Martin Luther, Zwingli, John Calvin)

I am surprised that your family members would not describe themselves as "Christian" first, and then state their denomination second.

Okay two things jumped out at me from the comments here...

1) It seems like this guy is claiming he was a SEAL after dropping out during hell week. Now I don't come from a military background, but wouldn't this be the same as saying you went to Havard after getting your application rejected? Hell week is basically you're application to the SEALs...if you can' hack it you're rejected. I guess he's hoping that some HR person is so blinded by the word SEAL that he doesn't notice the words "dropped out."

2) If the school doesn't have lectures, tests, or books, what does it have?!? I was thinking back to my college days; some courses were more book-centered, some were more lecture-intensive, some had more of a project as a final exam, but EVERY class had at least one of the three. Hell we even had lectures and a written exam in my one credit badminton class.

I do a bit of hiring for my department, and if this guy's resume came across my desk, I would whip out the red pen to edit it, and send it back at my own expense. It scares me that there's a whole underground movement of people who think like this.

One last thing...has he really been working for the last six years on his BS in some BS subject? Of course, with no tests it's kind of hard to evaluate progress.

Okay I came back, I am like a crack addict without his fix of jamba juice.

I am completely ecstatic that casey will be facing two foreclosures on monday..Golf Clap (hercules hercules)

Now onto casey's new BFF. I just spent an hour reading over his website and another half hour catching up on the comments here and at IAFF.

First I am going to go against the grain here. The difference between this guy and casey is night and day. Why he would align himself with a little pissant like casey I dont know. I actually like casey's new BFF because he appears to be a motivated, focused family man with somewhat good business sense.

But then again his youth shows like a blinking neon sign on a 20 mile rural stretch in the Nevada desert. I think it is a gen Y thing to keep blogs and myspace accounts and to consider other people abnormal if they dont keep it. I am gen x myself and I am repelled that someone would want to put there personal business out there for all to see.

Casey's new BFF actually admonishes people and basically says they are cowards for not having a blog and putting there ideas out there...again he is showing his youth...see most people dont carry blogs because they can come back to bite you in the ass....Personal stays personal...if someone wants dirt on you..say a job interviewer..they actually have to dig for it ..not just do a google search of your name and see pictures of you taking a shot off some blondes tits in cancun over spring break.

See brian....you have the right idea..and I am willing to bet your motivation for wanting to suceed is because of your family...but then again most people should attain their dreams before marriage and children.

Well that is too late for you..what is is what is...so you are keeping focused on attaining your goals with your family as a driving force for your motivations.

Now you need to keep that in mind that your plans are secondary at this point and that your childrens and wifes long term needs come first. Quitting your job before you have something to replace your income was dumb and again shows your age and your irresponsibility towards being a father and a husband.

Yes you say there are job offers blah blah blah....but in the world of fatherhood there are things that have to be ABSOLUTE. As a christian that is also the most important thing you can do. You put your god and family above all others.

INCLUDING YOURSELF. It doesnt matter what you want or what you desire. Their stability and long term needs MUST COME FIRST.

SO quitting your job was dumb, childish, and irresponsible. As a father you never quit something that is the thing putting food in your kids mouth and roofs over their heads. You should have had another job before you quit the first one.

This is where casey fails as a husband..and miserably I might add. He puts his own dreams and wants before gods and his wifes with zero regard for the repercussions.

He cuts corners and is willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate any real work and get from point a to z and skip as many points in between as possible. In the end he realizes..yes some points can be cut out but it is too much work to do it..so he pretends he is in a play casting roles and never gets to opening night.

HE is a failed businessman, a failed husband, and a failed christian, and a failed member of society...pretty much the definition of eurotrash.

By alligning yourself with this snake oil conman, you are irresponsible in your duties as a husband, a christian, and a father because it can and will be detrimental to your livelihood.

You know people will dig up whatever they can on you, you know your family is going to suffer personal attacks and stress because of alligning yourself with him.

Look at the history of anyone aligning themselves with casey..they have been systematically exposed, destroyed, and ran out of dodge by the Hater community.

You are derelict in your duties to protect your family from any and all threats. And are further irresponspible by exposing them to stress of supporting a thief.

I would understand if in a few years casey is actually doing something to work towards a better life..but he does nothing. If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.

See casey is going to want to help himself first before anyone else can help him..hence duane running for the hills..he realized he was a lost cause..well that and his business dealings were exposed for the equity skimmer that he was.

Think about it brian.

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders for 24 but your inexperience shows with your attitude in some places and your risk assesment.

PSS You mention that casey will suceed because he doesnt have a problem with risk tolerance. That is just dumb....See being uneasy with risk tolerance keeps you grounded in business dealings. Casey has zero apprehension for risk tolerance or analysis for that matter and that is what got him into this trouble in the first place (well that and fraud).

See if someone goes to buy a house for 100k but they can only afford 50k.....the risk of 50k is too great....casey would say letsdoit and wouldnt worry or have a plan to make up the other 50k ...except a promissory note to country wide and in the end they would lose the house and be out their original 50k.

Hey Brian-
1+1=2, but 6+4 does not equal 10? Looks like Biola U's math department could use some work. Oh wait, I forgot, you didn't actually graduate.

@ harriet
I agree with Akubi. In the US, it's assumed that you're either Christian or atheist. If someone asks what your religion is, normal people respond with Lutheran or Catholic or whatever. Not with "I'm a Christian!!" That's usually the first sign that the person is a religious nutjob, and you should start backing away from them before you get the big lecture that they're dying to give you.

People who feel the need to identify themselves as Christian are usually the same ones that belong to those weirdo churches whose primary objectives are to prove that dinosaurs didn't exist, God hates homosexuals, find the final resting place of Noah's Ark, etc. Or who go to Christian Universities that teach people that 6+4 does not equal 10.

@I won,

The definition of "Religion" is

"a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion; the Muslim religion."

Semantically, it's an ignorant question to ask someone their "religion" and expect to get back the answer that they belong to a specific "denomination" of a larger religious group, such as Christian.

And I would not back away from a person, when I inquired as to their religion, when they answered me truthfully.

OMFG,

I read Brian's resume. Uh.... where to start...where to start.

I have managed over 200 people for fortune 100 companies. Let me ne perfectly clear on this. There is no way in hell I would consider this man for any type of management position.

His resume is nothing more than a fluff piece. The best was his "oversight" of the changing of the phone system. Wow, that takes skills. I looked it over for thirty seconds and realized it was pure BS. The funny thing is, you can tell when a person has no clue about business when they list trivial things on their resume as major accomplishments.

BTW, I noticed that Brian uses the same staging in his photos as Casey with the blue bottle of water.

Brian, nice that you reference your high school football days in your resume from twelve years ago. You are the AL BUNDY of IAFF.

Casey,

You are so sweet. Can’t wait for your next deal.

Hey Casey - your last post about doing a dairy. Look how many times you used the word “try”. If you try to do something, you dont have the intention of doing it - but just trying. Just say you will do the dairy and get it done. Dont tell all your fans that you will try to do it. We dont want you to try doing your dairy - we want you to do your diary.

And dont worry Casey - you can get inspiration from Donald Trump. Just look at one of his books and he has a diary in each one ( one of the chapters. ) Do one like that.

And remember - dont use the word try. Do get it done…

Tell us a date when you will have it done, and meet that date. Can you tell us when you will do it ?

February 25th, 2007 at 8:30 am Casey - I just found a great 96 unit apartment building here in Dallas. The owner wants to leave USA, to go back to his family in Hong Kong. He wants to make sure it goes into good hands. It does need some rehab - not too much. It has 80 one bedroom apartments and 16 two bedroom apartments.

He said the NOI is $1.7M with a 11% cap rate.

That cap rate was way to high Casey - so I beat him down to a 8% cap rate. I know you would be proud of me.

Let me know on this blog if you’re interested, and I’ll email you the details.

February 25th, 2007 at 9:50 am Loads O Money… you beat him down to 8% cap heh? So you actually are going to pay him MORE then what he’s asking?? The higher the price the lower the cap relative to NOI.

Hey why don’t you use your real email address so I can email you and talk some more about your deal?

I use the word “try” because I like to give myself a way out in case something better comes up. I would commit to stuff in the past only to break the commitment. I realize i’m a “keep my options open” personality type so I have to be careful when and how I commit. Using the word “try” shows my intention, which may or may not happen. But I will definitely TRY to make it happen. I’m learning to choose my commitments carefully. Does that make sense or should I use a different word to show my “intention” to do something??

At a previous job, I had a co-worker who had been an actual Navy SEAL. The joke around the office was, you don't piss off the SEAL, because he knew more ways to kill you than anybody else in the office. Considering that about 50% of my co-workers were vets of various branches of the service, that was saying a lot.

Someone who puts on their resume that they washed out of SEAL training is trying to gain some of the SEAL "sheen" without actually deserving the honor. It's pathetic, IMO.

If I was on a date with a guy and he so much as mentioned Kiyosaki I would get up and leave immediately.

How are these guys getting women??

The official SJ analysis:

Brian Nick is a self-important dick - who like our little fair-haired friend, pumps himself up to be much, much more than he really is.

Example:
It seems I have inherited some of the vitriolic comments from Casey Serin’s blog.

Using $2 words to give the impression of intelligence - through the post, blog and resume, the righteous, self-absorbed blathering strongly suggests he's a total skidmark on the underwear of society.

Example 2:
Married on the 4th of July
Woop-de-fucking do? I guess that kind of insipid patriotism might appeal to other no-necks like you.

Example 3:
Image in the suit, staring pensively at his computer. A good, pensive image of someone sitting at a particle-wood and veneer desk is all a person needs in order to show what an intelligent motivator he can be.

Formula:
Actual truth;
Worked at Starbucks as a Barrista for three months.
Brian truth:
Brought my motivation and extensive sales experience to an existing business to assist in promoting sales.

these women, are not wives with equal partnerships. they married men to be submissive "help mates" to "men" who promise to care for them and treat them as a "natural thing of beauty". most do not work and trust their "men" to take care of them, and will be kind and supportive in ups and downs but totally leaning on their husbands without question.

i consider myself a Christian and know tons of people like this, often home schooled socially slow, yet well meaning. their families support this screwed up theory on relationships and life. too bad it doesnt mirror the whole ACTUAL idea of Christianity.

i am a woman in my mid 20's year old woman with grad degrees (yes 2) and a nice job and house and a great husband who is a friend and partner. i hear the guy who was 24 and said casey and brian made him feel old. it makes me feel old and furious. and the sick part is i know a guy who is a 32 y/o casey with a "consulting" business and 2 kids and a wife (he made her quit teaching) - she TOLD me she misses teaching - so that he could provide the way God intends. he has several blogs related to his "business" which i am soooooo tempted to post here.

Jade,

As a man let me tell you the reason they get both sex and marriage is that they talk a good game. Galina definitely and whoever married Brian probably bought the goods based on the promise of a better life at some point in the future. In marriage it all goes back to what I call "The Bargain". A man provides for a woman's material needs and in return he gets regular and steady sex as well as a decent mother for any children. I know it sounds sexist but it is true for the most part. Sometimes women hold up the man's end of the bargain (Julia Roberts).

Also another explanation is that some women scrape the bottom of the barrel. Sad but true.

Nick of www.young-manager.com supports Casey Serin of www.iamfacingforeclosure.com, who admits to taking fraudulent loans, does not mean that Brian S. Nick supports such criminal activities. In fact, at no point on Brian S. Nick's resume does it list any fraudulent activities. Furthermore, unlike Casey Serin, Brian S. Nick has never worked at RESCOM, does not admit to taking liar loans, and has not defaulted on numerous mortgages, unlike Casey Serin, whom he supports. In conclusion, Brian S. Nick is not a convicted felon, and should not be treated as one.
