It's an addiction

It is not as bad as you think. It is worse. I am a major source of most of America's woes. I am addicted to Harbor Freight & Tools. Corporate HQ is here in Camarillo, CA and their lies are too seductive to ignore. HHS drills for $0.99 Mole Chasers for $9.99 and freestanding drill presses for $99.99. How much can a man take? Yes, I konew, America's manufacturing edge is dulled every time I plunk down my gift card but laser etched color coded deep sockets? Metric and SAE? Who wouldn't? Okay, so let's just come out and say it. We all have some relatively harmless addictions. Pehaps that's how we avoid the dangerous ones.

How on earth did Casey pay for these "expensive" corporate lawyers. Or did he read the opinions on the Corporate buy-me-now web site?

Casey is an idiot.

As for his addiction to credit, his addiction is hardly harmless.

When opening mail is a chore, how in the hell are you going to run a corporation? Who is going to give credit to a corporation in which the mail goes unanswered?

Casey credit woes are near an end. He has overdosed.

The delusions he has of getting out of this mess is just one symptom of the overdose of guru classes. I guess he has another addiction of guru classes.

Too bad this fool did not learn from reality first.

Hey Guys,

Rob BBB here

Casey is going to be able to get more debt through the corporation. Everyone on his blog is posting about how a lender will require a personal guarantee, etc.

They are wrong. That is the whole thing with this corporate credit thing.

You see, Casey had bought an old corporation. One that has sat a while. Maybe that has done some business where one corp buys something from another who buys it from another who buys it from the first.

Who knows. Lots of ways to show some legitimacy.. some revenue, etc. Something to make it look good.

It appears Casey purchased a corp like that. So, he'll show that record and get more debt. With a business as long as his has been in, why would he need a personal guarantee?

So, more debt and then he can lend it to himself.

Think it won't happen?

I'm telling you, this guy is a more slippery snake than you all think.

Much, much more slippery.

And the whole blog is designed to try to show that he didn't have an intent to defraud.

That and he wants to rub all your faces in it.

"should I go to jail?"

ha. Go ahead and try to get him there. That's his mantra.

There are so many scam artists in the world. Some of them are public companies. They just get away with it and get away with it and nobody does anything.

This won't be any different.

Of course, he won't be able to live it up as much as he has. But he won't have to get a job and can still play with other people's money.

I have to admit I am a foodie and wine geek. I would NEVER waste my hard earned dollars on Macaroni Grill or some other such suburban-chain garbage like freakin' Chilis or Applebees(though admittedly I love diner food.) Casey is addicted to bad chain food, Denny's, Macaroni Grill, Cali Pizza Kitchen, Olive Garden et al. Even his natural foods have to come from a corporate giant. Not very ecologically responsible for a fake vegan. He is the antithesis of the slow food movement.

Anonymous said...

TK,
I was once in fact quite a foodie until I realized how much money I would have to save to graduate from a condo to a real house around here. Whatever Mac&cheese is on sale is fine with me now. As far as Macaroni Grill, I didn't even know it existed before IAFF.

Vinyl records, odd foreign films, and vintage gasoline signs. Although the best thing I ever collected was an awesome girlfriend, so the other hobbies take a back seat.

I had to join a support group to break free of Harbor Freight, though. The addition of a table-top lathe that so far had only been used to make smaller useless junk from larger useless junk was the first sign for me that I had a problem...

I eat at chains quite frequently in practice, but love discovering good local, non-chain restaurants.

Do you reckon Google will notice that someone clicked on each of the four text ads about a hundred times in a row, from the same IP address? Or do they routinely ignore that sort of thing until they reach a certain payout level?

@Acacia,

I said being a foodie and wine geek was an addiction, but it isn't my everyday reality. You can spend a lot of money on that passionate pursuit and parenthood put a lid on not only goings out but collecting wine as well. My wife and I love cheap meals, we also order out a LOT being in New York gives us plenty of non-chain options. And like I said I love good wine, but beer works too. smokin' good inexpensive wine is what I seek out now. But for special occasions I don't balk at spending a few hundred on a bottle.

I used to be a thrift store / flea market / antique store junkie. That is, until I had to move and had ten years of accumulated bullshit. Now the most addictive thing in my life is probably the internet. Oh my gawd, I waste so much time on this stupid thing.

I admittedly used to be a bit of a tool whore myself as well.

Anonymous said...

That didn't take long...the google ads are gone. Good work all.

For me the ads are shown in IE, hidden in Firefox.

View Source shows comments which suggest that Casey is using AdLogger .

If this is the case then our hero is now able to track clicks on the ads; and to automatically disable the ads for anyone abusing them.

Anonymous said...

@ Rob BBB
That's a good point about the fake corps doing business with each other. Craporate Credit sets up a number of fake corps, babysits them for 2 years while they buy and sell services among the fakes, and now they're holding a bunch of corps that have what appears to be a profitable track record.

I bet you're right and that's exactly what they've done. The key for Casey will be whether Galina's credit is good enough to satisfy the banks. Anything with Casey's name on it will be the kiss of death as far as loans are concerned.

Rob Dawg said...

N.B. The ads are by gooooogle not google. The google ads are also a scam anyway so it doesn't matter.

@ lawnmower man:
I'm not seeing any ads and I haven't clicked on anything. I tried Firefox and Opera (don't have IE).

That would be pretty sweet if the ads made it from 4:07 to 5:42, a whole hour and 35 minutes.

Anonymous said...

I went a bit click-crazy for a minute cause it chaps my hide @ this point to see this kid get a nickel he didn't get off his lazy ass and work for... and now I can no longer see them.

segfault said...

The ads at the top appear to link directly to googlesyndication.com... At least that's what the status bar in Safari shows.

The ads are still showing up for me. The only trick I see is that, if I click on one and then hit the back button, the ads disappear from the page. They reappear when I hit the reload button. If I click in rapid succession, it appears that the clickthroughs go through and the ads don't disappear.

Anonymous said...

Looks like he has removed the google ads. If you click on the link indicating you would like to advertise on his site, it says the ads are for idontdoshit.com (I'm serious). Apparently, Casey was attempting to serve ads for another person's google account. The whois record for the domain doesn't match. I guess it is just ol' honest Casey at work.

Regarding the new domain name and Google AdSense and dontdoshit.com:

I'm the guy who owns dontdoshit.com. I told Casey he could use my server to tell his story. I'm not a supporter, not doing any financial deals with him, or anything shady. I contacted Google on his behalf to see if the ads would help pay for the server, but if they don't it's no big deal.

Please guys, don't make it more than what it is. He needed hosting and I helped him out by reselling my bandwidth to him cheaper than what I pay for it.

Why am I helping him? I just like his story and find it entertaining. I read it every day and was sad to see his deal with Duane didn't work out. I hope you guys don't mind me helping him host a site to tell his story.

Honestly, it's the funniest thing I've read to date on the net and I enjoy it immensely. I thought I could kick back a favor to him.

I read the hater site too. I just didn't want to see his story go away and wanted to keep it in the public.

Anonymous said...

Okay. I see he is on the same nameserver as dontdoshit.com, which is NS1.DREAMHOST.COM. So you gave him free hosting? Or is it hosting and you run the google ads? You will probably end up losing your google account if that is the case. Everybody who comes in contact with Serin is hurt eventually. If you read his blog enough, you know that is true. The guy suppose to be a businessman and he can't afford 4.95 per month for hosting. Thank you for being honest. I just think you will learn that you can't help people like Casey. Good luck.

Anonymous said...

I thought I'd post another thing, before the haters went crazy:

If Casey didn't have a place to host his site (because he's insolvent), you wouldn't be able to get your fix and neither would I. I paid Casey -nothing-, for advertisements, or anything. So this isn't some scheme on Casey's part.

I'm just a computer guy who likes reading blogs. I am NOT condoning his actions, nor am I allied with him. I'm just helping him host his blogs. I'm hoping the hater community doesn't go overboard like with Duane.

Read my official statement:

- I don't think what he did was right
- I don't approve of his actions

HOWEVER, I believe his story must be told, even if he's insolvent. I think we ALL enjoy reading his site, hater or non-hater, and I think it's a worthy cause to keep it up. If you guys genuinely believe his site shouldn't be up, I will reconsider my actions. But as it stands, I love reading his web site. It's fun. I love the comments, I love his antics. If you guys don't think this site is worth it, fine. But I do, and I think it's worth paying to see Casey talk about his predicament. I'm not a part of any of his deals and I'm not even in the real estate business.

Anonymous said...

Ok, in reply to this:

I told Casey I would host his site and he wouldn't have to pay me. Since I host a bunch of different sites, it wouldn't cost me much to bring his site into the mix. I told him I would, and that I'd talk to Google about click-fraud so the ads could help me recover SOME cost of hosting his site. As it stands, I could lose money. But, I figured, the amount I lose is at least worth the entertainment I get from the site.

In my HONEST, HONEST opinion, I believe Casey is an entertainer. He may not be the best real estate dealer out there, but in my eyes, he is pure entertainment. I LOVE his antics. In the sense that he's an entertainer, I felt that I'd provide him with a stage to perform on, regardless of what happened to his financial situation.

As far as the Google ads -- I could lose my Google account. The thing is, I just want those ads there to cover the small amount of money I'm spending to host his site.

So, I'm saying up front and pleading with the hater community -- Don't take your agression out on me, I just want to provide a fair forum.

I like many others, may have started out with some sympathy for CS, but in the past several months it has totally disappeared. He is a scammer and a con artist.
I own several properties and did not lie about any of them. I worked hard to purchase them. I paid MY OWN MONEY when I had vacancies.
He is a scumbag and need to be penalized for his actions. From reading this blog, there has been much good advice and phone numbers of people and organizations to contact to report him and his actions.
Could you put up a new post that lists all the organizations that would benefit from a phone call, letter, or e-mail? All of the numbers and information is spread out over multiple threads, and I wouldn’t remember where to look for them. If it were all in one nice spot, maybe other lurkers like myself would get off the fence and make a call to put him away.

More power to you if you want to host Casey's blog. I'm wondering though, how much does it cost to host Casey's blog? I'm asking because Casey said he made $750 and then $1200 through AdSense before Google dropped him. So I would estimate he can still generate $500 through AdSense especially if you're using AdLogger to prevent fraud clicks. Shouldn't that more than cover your hosting cost given that low revenue estimate? Thus, do you really think your costs are not going to be covered? Any plan to split revenue with Casey if you costs are covered? You know that if that ever happens, someone is going to find out.

As for Duane, don't you think he intended to get the initial eyeballs for his new site launch and drop Casey after a month? And he could gain control of Casey's assets (his blog, story), all the better. It's not that the haters swarmed Duane, it's that Duane had a hidden agenda that was exposed.

Anonymous said...

If I was Casey, which I thank God every day I'm not, a practical approach to future survival would be to isolate the only potential income source from the personal issues.

You put the IAFF entity in the corporation with the corporation "owned" and controlled by people you trust. The personal credit sucks, and will suck for years to come, but:

The corporation owns the blog which is starting to be re-monetized with linking opportunities currently being promoted. With an income stream, perhaps the corporation will get credit lines some time in the future, especially if CS isn't part of corporate baggage. Nominal payments for the free lance articles keep the personal issues out of the corp.

BK isn't going to happen if there is any possible way to avoid it. That fraud thing keeps coming up, and BK excludes those debts from discharge.

Kudos to the haters, they are what makes it worthwhile

Anonymous said...

@ratlab:

Honest question deserves an honest answer. The reason I can't give you the straightest answer possible about ad revenue is because no one really knows what his site would pull in if it were running legitimately with legitimate clicks. His exponential growth in ad revenue isn't natural because people were clicking on his ads fraudulently. Because I don't have any experience at all with adsense, I wanted to see how it actually worked. I told Casey we should try the experiment and see what happens. I assumed that if it worked, I'd lose nothing. If it got taken down due to fraud or didn't generate much in the way of clicks, I wouldn't lose much.

As far as whether or not Casey will benefit? Let's assume we split the proceeds 50/50. If Casey benefits, it's likely he won't use me for hosting. If he makes even $250, for example, he'll know he doesn't actually need someone like me to help with hosting. He's already expressed interest that he would switch hosting if he were more solvent. I don't have any binding agreements with Casey.

Do I think my hosting costs will be covered? I'd say we'd be break-even at best, if there are no fraudulent-clicks or inflating of clicks/traffic. This is a conservative estimate, I admit.

Again, please understand that if the hater-community genuinely wants his site down, I'll withdraw support of hosting. Otherwise, I think it's at least worth it to see his story come to a conclusion.

As to why I'm not Duane: I have no interest in real estate (aside from wanting to own a home for myself.) I have no real estate business. I have a gentlemen's agreement with Casey for hosting -- not a contract. I don't want to steal Casey's soul.

I really don't want any trouble with anyone. If I am causing elements of this community to become angry, I'll retract my support.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. As I've said previously, I don't have a problem with you hosting his blog, but I certainly cannot say I speak for anyone else, nor should I. It does appear that the response to you hosting has been positive so far. For the amount of traffic on Casey's site, what are the hosting costs per month? In the meantime, good luck, I hope you come out of this better than anyone else that has been associated with Casey.

@Everyone
Okaaaay, Casey doesn't have the cash to pay for hosting but he has the cash to pay high priced legal counsel to explore the world of corporate credit. Unbelievable, well, actually it's not. It's typical.

whoa whoa whoa
wait a second...

so let me get this straight....

all you white people are upset cause some young kid from somewhere else figured out a way to cheat steal and lie his way into the american dream? isn't that what its all about?

i mean how else did you people get this land?
stripped and stolen from people that were living long ago...

lol, the american dream--is just propaganda

@ratlab:

I appreciate your support. In truth, I don't know what Casey's costs will be just yet. I enabled analog to monitor his traffic usage. But, I don't have accurate estimates because his logs didn't travel with the site. So for me, it's completely fresh new data.

So basically you hold me responsible for what a bunch of dumbasses did 100 years ago? Wow dude.

This is why America is fracked up. You hold a grudge against me because you THINK my ancestors kept you down?

Keep this in mind - my ancestors came here dirt poor from Italy and Scotland. Working poor types. In America, Italians were looked down upon as were poor Scots. Sure, it's nothing like what a black person went through but please do not equate every white person with idiots from the last 250 or so years.

I do not judge people by color and I would hope you wouldn't either. Is it all propaganda? Maybe, but is it okay for Casey to rape the system for personal enrichment? You live here too and I bet you'd hate it if he ripped you off.

Please stop with the racism. I for one can say that I don't hate anybody who works hard and wants to better themselves. Color is not a concern with me.

Pavan,

I have no issues with you. Keep hosting Casey's site. Just beware that he will dump or jerk you around like he has everybody else that have tried to work with him.

wow, from homey's post, sounds like Galina is trying to cop a plea. Galina sings, casey goes to jail, and our succubus babushka moves on to her next victim.

Rob, I don't have an e-mail address for you. Is there any way you can remove references to me from this site, aside from a brief synopsis? I'm not guilty in any way (encouraging or facilitating) with regards to fraud or attempts to profit from fraud and am simply a temporary service provider for Casey.

IMO, hating me is like hating Casey's ISP. Homey already has my information should anything arise. I humbly request a return to general anonymity from the hater-community.

If this is too much to ask, I understand.

I don't know if you read this blog, but I've tried to answer you twice and Casey keeps deleting my comments. The Casey song chords are pretty much the same as Misty by Errol Garner and the melody isn't based on anything, just supposed to be TV themey.

Homey et al,

I can easily find records of tax assessments and mortgages fo' Aleksey and Anna's residence at 4932 DEWEY DR,, FAIR OAKS,, CA. It looks like they've refinanced it several times and/or kept pulling out equity as it increased in value. I can't find evidence that they've bought and sold any other properties.

I can find Aleksey's company, A S CAD Solutions, too:

RK is an idiot. Just a few months ago, he wrote an article about how inflation is going to ruin the US economy and now he puts out an article completely contradicting himself and saying we should worry about deflation instead. It's really troubling to see people who don't even understand the fundamental principles of economics following the advice of a hack like RK.

Maybe Yahoo can give me a job as a columnist there. In my first article, I will predict that the stock market will go up in the next six months...or down...or stay the same. Make sure you're prepared.

The damage is done. This particular genie can't fit back in the bottle. One of the things people are learning from the whole situation is the power of information. I don't think anyone hates you. There is some concern that beyond simply hosting you are in effect enabling. There is also a cult of propriety growing around everything Casey. Make sure youare within your OS with your provider for instance. This because it seems everything Casey touches is shady. I suppose I could remove you"personal" data but my sense is twofold that someone else would disagree and repost anyway. Second, IMO it's best just towalkaway from the issue. It will die very quickly unless there's real dirt.

My addictions are cheap:

-I am a vegetarian (not the CS type) so food is usually cheap and very nice restaurants have limited appeal to me.

- I have to go out for work in the evening a lot to host dinners etc so get my alcohol fix there and with my fiancee who doesn't drink much.

-Need to exercise daily and listen to my IPod Nano... good stuff

-My secret pleasure is driving extremely fast on the elevated highway in Bangkok to my place of work. I get up to 120 mph (on and off depending on other cars) for about 20 miles and that is awesome. There is no police enforcement and the road is generally good. I am using a company car BMW 528 and it is designed to handle this kind of speed. It's the next best thing to being on the autobahn I suppose.

-Last addiction, checking out blogs like IAFF, this one, Housing Panic and a few others. The hilarity really makes my day.

-Big Cheese

@C-corp

You make assumptions:

Keep this in mind - my ancestors came here dirt poor from Italy and Scotland. Working poor types. In America, Italians were looked down upon as were poor Scots. Sure, it's nothing like what a black person went through but please do not equate every white person with idiots from the last 250 or so years.

First, you're assuming that the writer is black
Second you're assuming that the person is attacking you personally. They are commenting on the systemic effects of institutional racism, not something that YOUR particular ancestors did, IMHO.

PS. I am not the person who posted; I am black and Native American, and and frankly, you need to relax. I've gritted my teeth through the revelations from "Homey," as patently stereotypical and insulting as they are. Grit your teeth and let's continue to work for the greater cause of this blog--to put Numbnuts Casey in jail. I don't care what race he is--he's a criminal and needs to be put away.

Oh, and my personal obsession? Fiestaware. Both old and new.

SJ-
I tried to bake you a IAFF birthday cake but I ran into a few problems. First, I didn't have any dough, so I borrowed a bunch from my neighbors and Pillsbury. I also took a $35000 course from Robert "Doughboy" Kiyosake on how to make tons of dough by doing something that will be revealed to me in the next course. Apparently, there are ingredients which when combined, will passively creat dough. Anyway, I took some of the dough, and put it in the oven. It took forever to rise, and then went it was finally up, a big bubble in it popped and the whole thing promptly fell. I bought some icing and have been trying to sugarcoat it for a while, but when you cut into it, it's essentially empty. I guess I should have outsourced the baking to some elves or Nigel's forensic baker. Anyway, as always, I did my best. Happy Birthday.

Normally, I just lurk here and laugh my fool head off at Casey's antics. I live in West Sacramento and might be able to point out a few things.

Years ago, I worked for a corp run by a guy like Casey. Completely irresponsible. Trashed credit, etc. He started up a corp with a group of gullible investors with very good credit scores. Over a period of 10 years, he managed to completely destroy their credit too. In West Sacramento, we have a very large population of fundy evangelical christians from Eastern Europe. I see Casey suckering a huge number of these people into being co-owners. They are really that gullible! With their attitudes toward us gay folk, I hope he financially takes down every last one of them.

Anonymous said...

Pavan,

Casey's blog isn't just entertainment it's his primary means of finding suckers to exploit. By hosting it for free you have not only made yourself one of his victims but you are also helping him find other victims. Don't think for a minute that IAFF will come down if you stop hosting it. Casey may plead poverty when the bill collectors call but when he wants something for himself he magically comes up with the money. IAFF is the most important thing in the world to him right now.

The latest musings of our psycophant Casey: "

Sheniqua… You’re right I didn’t follow some of the guru advice like to start small and do local deals at first. I’m not saying the gurus are the ones to blame at all. I am just saying that it’s not all that easy and many people who have gone through the “seminarland” will agree with me. Seminarland is a good place to learn but sometimes making mistakes and failing a few times is the best education and builds real life experience.

I failed, so what? It’s not really a failure if I choose to not look at it that way. Its really an opportunity to learn. Controlling what I believe is a very important process of becoming successful.

The haters/critics here contribute to my experience because they’re quick to point out the flaws/concerns. A little bit of risk assessment is a good thing. I definitely need that.

However if I listen too closely I will become paralyzed and will not be able to jump on opportunities when they present themselves.

I see opportunities everywhere. Most deals are not so sweet on the surface. One must learn how to analyze every deal and look for ways to structure it and make sure it’s win-win.

It’s like putting the pieces of the puzzle together. There is a lot of work to be done in nurturing and massaging the deal until it’s ripe for juicing.

So working opportunities takes a lot of time and effort and you wonder what I do all day???

Yes, execution of the deal is important and paying attention to details is important. I have a weakness with details and risk assessment. I see the opportunity in everything and overlook the flaws. I need to work on that or outsource that part of it out.

That’s where I failed. I had pretty good strategy: fix-n-flip. However, I failed in the fixing part. The repairs took much longer then I thought and much more money. I got taken advantage of by contractors. I underestimated the repair bill on some of the houses and bought too high. I ran out of money and am now facing foreclosure.

When I do fix-n-flip in the future I know exactly what to do differently.
"

This quote alone is sufficient evidence for me that he is deserving of a lengthy incarceration. No remorse, no accountability, no morals. Just move on to the next fraud and never look back.

I'm thinking about doing this with my next few mortgage payments.

I won't pay, then once the bank starts calling asking for its money I will tell them that I believe I have been paying. In fact, I have been overpaying to take down the principal and they are wrong. I won't budge on this fact even when the sheriff comes to evict me after the foreclosure process is complete.

It will be an opportunity to relocate! SWEET!

And also: "ripe for juicing"?

Christ, what an asshole.

He truly has drunk his own Kool-Aid: he still sees himself as a seasoned businessman, managing his empire, rather than a scared kid staring down an insurmountable debt.

"That’s where I failed. I had pretty good strategy: fix-n-flip. However, I failed in the fixing part."

And in the flipping part. Unless you count the foreclosures and short sales as successes. Yes, let's choose to look at them that way.

Hopefully, Stephanie J and her Jack Russell Terrorists will soon drive up in the dirty jeep and kick some sense into Mr. Casey Seminarland while he’s carefully massaging his ripe and juicy deals.

I know three kids - serious, hard working, but not geniuses, by their own admission - who are about Casey's age. They each have 4-year business degrees, obtained at state universities at a cost less than Casey paid for real estate guru training. One got a student loan, and the other two worked while attending college and paid the low tuition as it came due.

Each of these kids manages investments and/or real estate that is a sizeable fraction of the amount of Casey's liabilities. The difference is they approached everything they did from the standpoint of market fundamentals and common sense. They are not facing criminal prosecution. They do not play on trampolines at their parents' houses while joblessly living with inlaws. They have actual net worths. They work a lot, but they have a level of satisfaction and contentment, and they can afford the occasional luxury without guilt or disgrace. They are friendly to me despite my filthy car and unkempt lawn soiling the neighborhood, although they do laugh at my telecommuting wardrobe of coffee-stained T-shirts and torn pants. These three kids are Casey's age and they are genuine grownups.

Does Casey even acknowledge the existence of people like this? Does he understand that a genuinely smart person would have approached any business in this way? How does Casey feel about those who study the fundamentals as inexpensively as possible at an accredited school, think things through before starting, and sensibly and conservatively apply those principles, minimizing risk and maximizing profit? Does Casey consider these people loosers? How could he possibly have a good opinion of himself?

@Akubicacia

Do you really believe after five solid months of hundreds of voices trying to influence Casey, and doing their damndest to somehow instill some sense into his empty little head, that he is in any way persuadable? Really?

If the advice doesn't go with his notion of sensible; it just ricochets into the vacuum. It would be a wasted trip for both myself and my two little Cani Demonici if you expect it to result in any change of his ways. If it is just for the purpose of random violence; then it's not a wasted trip. I'm sure my little canine-cuisinarts would enjoy that immensely.

Cased,

Next time you are in Bangkok take the West / East Bangna - Trad highway out of town. That's where you can get going up to big speeds.

Not that it is risk free though. Just today someone went from 90mph to a DEAD STOP because of a plastic crate in the road. It was all it took to stop the car in time. Thank God for the awesome big brakes on the BMW.

I'm going to go a little slower now.
