I find it remarkable that CS couldn't turn off HIS moderation due to instantaneous and constant trolling until he turned it back on. Yet this site that is, for the most part, made up of the so called "haters" of his site has gone UNmodded this long and is only now being trolled BY CS or family and friends of his. I have absoulutely no doubt that it is at the very least someone close to CS and would be willing to place a hefty bet that it is the man-child himself.
Rob, you have an awesome site here and it's sad that CS has chosen to spend his time trolling you instead of actually trying to get himself out of the mess he has made. Conclusion: Anonymous threats of lawsuits against individuals (especially those made on the internet) are worthless.

You can only sue for the economical damages caused to your reputation, which would probably mean that you would owe Rob money. Second, It's already been court-tested, third-party comments can't be held against a website admin.

One derogatory remark led to another and led to another and led to another. Sarcasm and mean-spiritedness ruled. And, given the choice to stand behind their comments with “real names” or hide behind their comments using pseudonyms, nearly 100% of the people chose the latter.
Now, at this point in the story, most people would say, “duh”. We all know how the Internet and anonymity can lead to bad behavior. But, according to the developer’s version of the story, there were buyers trying to put positive comments about the building but those comments were later “moderated” by the host right into the recycle bin.
In other words, the anonymous host may have been making a bad PR problem for the developer even worse.
The denegration of the blog is the reasons why, about two weeks ago, the blog shut down and there is no trace of it now except in Google’s archives. I know “a guy” who told me that the developer forced the shutdown after his research uncovered the anonymous blog host and lawsuits followed. The developer’s main beef was that the host’s moderation techniques made him look foolish.

It was nice to find a group of people on the right side of the bell curve, who feel like hard work and fair play aren't dirty words and might even lead to a fulfilling and prosperous life.

The only mention in the article (from bloodhound) of any legal action was from a ‘guy’ the writer knew, and only stated that the developer was successful in having the blog shut down. This doesn’t mean that the blog was actually shut down by legal means, nor does it mean that any litigation was successful, or even started in the first place. I don’t think it bears mentioning that the blog was aimed at a corporation that actually had an economic stake in what was being mentioned. Can you explain how this blog could encumber any economic opportunities for you?

Last night was a trip into the twilight zone for many of us. The death threats don't scare me, I too keep a .38 by my bed and know how to use it. But it does worry me that there is someone out there that has that type of reaction to a complete stranger. I know what I said was cocky but it surely wasn't meant as an out and out insult. Constructive critism with a touch of what I thought was wry humor. (That's what I get for thinking!) The threats weren't funny though and I think it shook a lot of people here up - none of us have even come close to saying those things about Casey - much less to each other.
Please don't leave, I really appreciated your support last night. Without you, Dolph, Jade and some of the others I probably would have dwelled on it way too long. But as usual, the intelligence, wit and comraderie that I find here made me realize that this was just an aberration - I am just thankful that my skin is not so thin that I threaten to kill and abuse when something doesn't go my way.

I think I'll start buying bars of soap, rubbing the impressed logos off, and reselling them as Ogg The Caveman's Patent Wang Deodorizer. Does anybody know what that troll business about "Robert Corwin" was all about? A while back I post about the Corwin in the Zelazny "Amber" series and thought it was a clever reference but now it seems like an addled brain spewing nonsense.

It disheartened me to see how few got the reference. Why hasn't some smart studio picked up the rights for 3 movies? Harry Potter for adults. Rated-R for violence and se|?ual content. As to "Corwin." Yes, there's a little there but think about it. Can we manipulate the shadows? I like to think we can. Else why blog?

Two things I should congratulate you on. First Your English is improving, but you still have trouble with double vs. single letters. You may want to note that it is 'assets", not "assetts". Second, you posted before 9am, on a Saturday; I guess you can actually do something if you put your mind to it.
Thanks for the complements observer. I appresheate it. I've been taking a spelling class recently and have been learning to spell phone et ically. It sure helps a lot. I still run akross problems sometimes like with assetts. I don't have any, so I can't spell it.
My spelling klass is early, so my body is more condishunned to waking early now.

Well, seeing as you have never actually seen a vagina, I think you're hardly one to comment on it.
Yes, fishy vaginal odor. I love the keyword ad search and seeding Adsense uses. That's why some of the post headers are strangely worded or tangential. It's a game to mess with their 'bot. I guess if my wife weren't off admitting patients right now I could be bothered to notice and respond to the lame troll going after friends and family. Yawn, I've been on the net long enough to know that ignoring it will only make some raise the stakes until they get a reaction and responding makes them feel empowered and fools them into believing they've struck a nerve.

While we gentlemen do have our odors from time to time, they can be easiser to deal with. One of the advantages of outdoor plumbing is ease of cleaning and maintenance. So far, nobody has seen fit to develop a speciality product whose job can be done by ordinary soap.
Having said that, one thing I've learned from IAFF is that there is a customer born every minute. I think I'll start buying bars of soap, rubbing the impressed logos off, and reselling them as Ogg The Caveman's Patent Wang Deodorizer. I can just see the commercials now: some hot young thing hangs on a caveman's arm and says to a distraught young man "I'm sorry honey, but he just smells better than you."
