Nigel See Nigel

Worse than derivative; sanitized and unoriginal. it ain't even a blog, it is more a narcacistic mirror of distortion. Internet masturbation with someone he loves. I tried a few posts but nothing sticks. Bored after a day. I won't waste my time, instead i'll get the forums based dawg pound up and running right away. If you see some bad clicks or funny code on the blog page this is why.

Having no idea which of the top 5 threads I should post this to, I'll choose the newest one so this doesn't get buried:

Just posted this at IAFF:

From reading others' Cashcall experiences, they consider anything to be physically located at the deadbeat's address of record to be ripe for the taking.

Man, is the sis-in-law going to be PO'd when Cashcall starts carrying her couch, TV, microwave, stereo away.

sid_finster said...

Does Cashcall employ mercenaries?

I'd do it myself, but I sort of like living in Russia.

Therefore, I nominate T or DAt Clown to volunteer.

The college editor can't be for real, can he?!?

It would be like someone stumbling into a diamond mine, tripping on a huge diamond, and cracking their head on another ginormous one as they fall, then saying "hey, y'all, could someone tell me if there are any diamonds in this part of the country?"!

Maybe he'd like someone to write the article for him?

Thoughts from Casey's talk the other night:

- He is really a pretty slick talker for a 24-year old. All BS, but it flows pretty well for one so young. Good future as a con man, once he finds the right target market.
- He lies so much and so easily. Not convincingly for the discerning ear, but a large % of the populace aren't very discerning.
- I think his target market is something like driveway paving for the elderly, or selling fake watches out of the trunk of the Jetta.

TK said...

@Endgame Obvserver

I think you pegged that exactly. There is TOO much information here and the Wiki article is way too basic. He wants hater bullet points.

sid_finster said...

Tom Wolfe describes it like "the Fool-Killer set loose upon the State Fair". Spoiled for so much choice, the Fool-Killer shrugs his shoulders, drops his shilleaugh and goes home.

TK said...

@Endgame obsverver

The BS comes as easily as it does because he believes it. He knows what he did was shady but has told himself since last year that he made a "mistake".

Pretty much all of his lies are based on HIS version of the truth, which I believe he actually buys into. There's no other way it could come as easily. And as far as most people having a discerning ear for lying - many get used to hearing lies and since everyone's existence depends on a certain level of denial, most of us turn a blind eye.

Anonymous said...

@Endgame - or others - where are there cashcall horror stories? They sound like good readin'...

I don't know but when I googled "cashcall horror stories" IAFF came up as #6.

@Endgame observer

Everything he says is canned and requires no thought on his part. He has developed these mental cards that he pulls out and recites them on demand.

He cannot allow himself to fail or admit to himself that there is any other reality to his situation than what he has conjured up. And he uses what he's come up with to protect him. Notice how he came up with the artificial division of business losses and personal losses. He absolved himself of failure by transferring the responsibility to a "business." When it is pointed out that this is nonsense he goes into denial mode because that is the only mental capacity he has to deal with things that get to this point.

He justifies his crimes by saying there was no criminal intent or pleads ignorance.

If he were to allow himself to see the reality that we all see he would have a nervous breakdown of epic proportions. I think we started to see the beginnings of that on Wednesday night.

It is interesting to watch as the lies he tells everybody start to fall apart. With a record of three foreclosures on the books and hundreds of thousands of other debt that he cannot pay he's still worried about his credit rating. He is completely delusional and irrational.

Remember the "hot" realtor who asked him to take down her picture, later her name, later her link & then finally "her assistant was too busy to return his calls" or something like that?" What a zoo.

Apparently, no one ever told him that ignorance of the law is no excuse.

I don't know how it works for my neighbours to the south, but when I signed for my mortgage, I had to sign a statement saying that the information I provided, was, to the best of my knowledge, true.
Oh and then they checked everything.

Ok, I just posted this at Nigel's love-in-on-Casey blog and he's probably going to delete it:

Yes, Casey doesn't have any credibility when it comes to getting out of foreclosure, but he does have the experience of getting into foreclosure and trying to navigate the sea of incoming mail.

The thing is, "navigating the sea of incoming mail" is not as difficult as Casey makes it out to be. On a daily basis, all it takes is 5 easy steps:

Step 1: go to the mailbox
Step 2: remove mail and close mailbox
Step 3: remove flyers from mail and trash/recycle
Step 4: open mail, throw out envelopes/inserts
Step 5: go through mail piece by piece and pay some bills.

Even with piles of mail, I doubt that it would take more than an hour a day to go through the mail.

________________________________

Look! five easy steps to managing your mail! Next up: how to pay bills either by cheque, at the bank or online.

Of course, the choice of methods may be too much for these two to handle.

I honestly believe Casey has a below average IQ and is exceptionally gullible. Whether his cultural background has contributed to this in any way, I don't know. He jumps into everything *easy* without carefully considering it but stalls out when it comes to making more complicated decisions (payment plans, short sales, stuff that could actually improve his situation). He never gives a reason why he fails to act, but it's obvious that his cognitive abilities are less than average (or at least the average blogger, anyway), so I'm inclined to believe that he doesn't act because he can't grasp what he's doing.

All of you who think he's this clever con artist are giving him far too much credit. Yes, he's a compulsive liar. No, he won't give a straight answer but we don't press him hard enough for one. I'm not believing he's a "slick talker" like EO said. He sounds like a damned animatron. I could never be convinced by anything he says because he conveys no emotion, expression, or believability when he speaks. The podcast sounded like people speaking to iGod, in that he completely disregarded their questions and just kept repeating himself.
While the Pride Industries thing may have been a coincidence, I'm sure the people who hired him recognized his limited potential. The kid is smart enough to function in society but not smart enough not to be victimized by everyone smarter than he is. He doesn't fully comprehend the extent of his current predicament, that I am certain, which is why he feels he's suffered enough, when he in fact has not suffered at all.

When Cashcall comes calling for stuff to haul out of the sis in law's place she'd better have receipts. The law allows a creditor who has been given a judgement to come in and repo property to take ANYTHING of value regardless of WHO lives there. The only recourse is to have receipts in the name of the person who does not have the judgement.

My guess is sis in law does not have receipts, so good bye to all her crap!

BadjerJim said...

With KC's latest call, there's also some deliberate 'blame-shifting' going on.

When pinned down with the question of how much he claimed as his income, he answered with "I really don't know, I guess I could pull the papers and look it up... the mortgage lenders came up with the numbers required to get the loan. And those numbers were in line with my profession at the time."

This first comment to shift blame to the lender. KC a victim of an innocent who just signed paperwork that he didn't read or understand.

When pointed out that he was unemployed during the bulk of his buying spree, he said: "No, I was a real estate investor, and the money really was coming in. I was just taking it at the beginning, rather than at the final sale of the house."

This second comment, an attempt to paint himself as the victim of the market downturn.

As far as bending reality, both of these explainations are brilliant.

You effed up but really seem to have your sh*t together now.

You've admitted your mistakes and have talked to your family, Casey just used his to try by offering them a 24% return for investing with him.

You are talking to your lenders and working out payment plans, Casey won't talk to any of his lenders and hasn't paid a penny in MONTHS.

You washed your hands of real estate deals and are MAKING money doing something you've come to like, Casey is trying to find the next sweet deal and lining up "money partners".

You are making sacrifices (i.e. ramen and living in your offic), Casey thinks he deserves Jamba Juice and dinners out.

Good luck and I can already tell you will make it, keep focused and keep working hard,

February has fewer days than January, so the traffic actually fell from 5,806 visits per day to 5,571.

Granted, it should be increasing, but it's not the calamitous plunge you're implying.

LOL said...

It probably means that his interview with Suze turned out like his webcast so he is going to hide again.

Has removed the reference to Suze Ormoan,

He removed all of the media mentions that were there yesterday. Add to that the fact that he didn't mention the Economist article and refused to talk with the reporter at that college and that really is saying something.

The simple take is that snowflake does not want any more publicity. It could be that the PRBizHags are back in the picture again.

I thought that the Suze thing had not happened yet and that it was going to be a deal where he called into the show. It could very well be the case that he decided to cancel it due to the meltdown in the webcast.

NEWS FLASH, MARCH 24, 2010

(FROM THE ECONOMIST MAGAZINE, ISSUE DATED 3/24/2010)

REAL ESTATE GURU CASEY SERIN VOLUNTARILY LEAVES NEVADA; OTHER STATES WARN AGAINST ENTRY

Mr. Casey Serin, who rose to notoriety in 2006 and 2007 as the poster boy for real-estate foreclosures, has been asked by the State of Nevada to leave and not return.

This comes after Mr. Serin was asked to leave Arizona in 2009. Furthermore, in late 2008 Mr. Serin was asked by the authorities in California, his home state, to leave that state and not return.

Mr. Serin, who became infamous after posting a long-running, widely-read blog detailing his investment misadventures, was never convicted of any crime. Rather, the requests to leave each state followed a set of economic circumstances unique in American history.

It seems that wherever Mr. Serin resided, his business efforts caused such economic depression and poverty that the state authorities finally asked him to leave.

In Sacramento, California, where Mr. Serin resided for the longest period, the drop in real estate prices was found to be three times the national average, and four times the average for other areas of California. In addition, unemployment, which averaged 4.6% througout the United States, averaged 11.3% in a 100-mile radius around the residence where Mr. Serin was residing with his in-laws.

The National Assocation of Realtors put the most pressure on state authoritieis to persuade Mr. Serin to leave.
“No one will do any real estate deals within 100 miles of where he lives,” explained Patsy Linkbiz, President of the local NAR branch. “He is toxic to the local economy.” She noted that all real-estate offices within 50 miles of Mr. Serin’s residence has closed in the past two years.

In March of 2008, under pressure from California authorities, Mr. Serin, now single, moved to Phoenix, where he rented a motel room and continued blogging and investing.

By May of 2008, the economy of the greater Phoenix area was in a shambles. Real estate values had plunged over 35%, unemployment had tripled, and businesses were leaving the area.

In June, after a late-night meeting with the local Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Serin voluntarily agreed to leave the state of Arizona. He then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he rented a double-wide trailer home in a mobile home park located next to the Krazy Kat Gentlemen’s Lounge.

Mr Serin announced, via a live-phone-chat show on his website, that this was “a new beginning” and that he would begin looking for large apartment complexes to purchase in the greater Las Vegas areas.

For a few months, relative calm prevailed, as the United States, and the Las Vegas area, was experiencing a new real estate boom, following the subprime shakeout of 2006-2009.

Then, on March 20, 2010, Mr Serin announced the purchase of 5 large apartment complexes in the greater Las Vegas areas, totalling over 1000 rental units.

Virtually overnight, the Las Vegas economy was now in a shambles. Real estate values plummeted 35%, unemployment tripled, and three major casinos shut down their operations.

On March 23, a group of Las Vegas business executivies, led by the female employees of the Krazy Kat Lounge, held a midnight meeting with Mr. Serin. Details of the meeting have not been released, but according to sources Mr. Serin has now agreed to leave Nevada and never return.

Stated Professor Tim J. Monterey-Bay, noted professor of business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas,: “There has never been anything like this in economic history. Everywhere this lad went he literally brough economic poverty and chaos.”

Asked to comment, Mr. Serin told The Economist: “It’s all good. I’m just going to keep on making sweet deals.”

John said...

Clotpoll, you might be right. But I've thought we'd jumped the shark before. Even before the homeless guy I thought it was winding down. Certainly the pace is feverish now... I was proud of the kudos for deconstructing Nigel... my fame lasted exactly 24 hours, only to be upstaged by THE ECONOMIST. A day after that, the call-in show, great fun. And now the dance mix. This momentum is remarkable. But the dynamics of the story suggest we can't be at the high point. Because we've known a long while that Casey's scheme eventually collapses. Could be Cashcall, the DA, the IRS, his family. But we know the line will go silent. And until then, the Nigels and Duanes will continue to deliver the juice of internet drama.

I'm still reeling from the fact his phone bill is high because he uses the data service to release comments from moderation. I turned off that pricey data service on my second day with this PDA. We've seen so much that we forget how outrageous it is. But new blood still arrives, articulate and indignant, and Casey still posts the comments, scheming and scrambling, awash in sweet attention, but unable to capitalize.

Remember the words of our sage:

as long as it's a win-win
and the deal is sweet enough
for there to be enough juice in it
for everybody.

Still sweet to me.

he is a narcissus con-man egomaniac who mockingly laughs at mainstream society and its ideals.

you went to college? you work 9-5 at a W2 job? casey laughs at you and your simple-mindedness -- you are hugely inferior to him and his Linux skills.

T is right, casey should live forever, to repeatedly and overtly manipulate the system and its resources and never work a day in his life.

Miguel said...

I'm completely with T - I've long said that Casey needs a massive shock to his system (which may well come with the impending visit from Cashcall's repo men), but I don't fundamentally think he's a bad person. Not least because I can't imagine Casey ever calling for someone else to commit suicide.

He's certainly toe-curlingly naive and almost sublimely unaware of the way his actions impact on others, and I absolutely agree he deserves jail time for what he's done - but when it comes to unabashed and premeditated evil, he has nothing on the subject of this book review that I read yesterday. And I doubt he ever will.
