Duane posted accounts of verbal abuse and neglect. (No physical abuse) It was essentially tantamount to accusations that Casey would call Galina "fat", made inferences that he regretted marriage (even during his honeymoon) and made statements saying that she was not trying hard enough to succeed. That sort of thing.
With regards to Casey having to turn himself in, that has not been verified by anyone. Was likely just a troll statement.
Yes, Casey sold his blog to Krowne. For the apparent sum of $50k. Although I don't know if that has been independently verified or not.

Papa Casey apparently did something else against G not certain what. Duane went public with accusations of emotional spousal abuse. One of the people who has been attacking Duane on CH.C called his wife and started harassing her. Duane really blew a gasket and several people where kicked off CH.C. Some of them long time posters like Broward. Last night Casey, or more likely his parents took the blog down. Casey left a long manipulative post to G as his last post. As the haterz made fun of it, Casey replaced it with the simple goodbye that is currently up. Duane is saying his goodbye's on CH.C now.

Well, I stepped away for a couple of weeks, checking in sparingly, and I'm again totally out of the loop.
Interesting to see the banter between Lost Cause, Akubi, and everyone else. While I don't share the thoughts Lost Cause has been posting about marriage and various people's "interference" of fliptard and G's, it's still a viewpoint that must be acknowledged. Some people still believe in the institution of marriage even under the worst of circumstances. I don't. People make mistakes all the time, and finding the person to get married to is sometimes difficult and mistake ridden. If I thought for a moment that fliptard truly wanted to save his marriage for no other reason than to save his marriage, I would have called out Duane and Mark. But maybe through my own bias after following this story for months, it's as plain as day that the motivation for fliptard is to save his own hide and the get back something he has lost (G).
As for the haterz, I think that most of us want to see some sort of justice. We've been taught by society that crime/stupidity leads to punishment/consequences. The fact that we haven't seen it and the fact that fliptard continues to flaunt his crimes/stupidity is socially unacceptable. Add the fact that he continually make and breaks promises, and lies on a continual basis. He needs some sort of punishment. And no, to me, his marriage failing is not punishment. That was self-inflicted and he had numerous opportunities to right that ship.
Anyway, I don't have a problem with Lost Causes comments even though I don't agree with them and vice versa.

I really think that all these people saying that Duane is trying to steal Casey's wife are delusional. If the world operated on their model of it, no one would ever step in to help anyone else. I don't know what Duane's motives are, but I find it highly unlikely that a guy Duane's age is trying to "hook up" with a girl G's age.
Also, you likely know very little about Southern women, such as Duane's wife. They're tough as nails and quite frankly, I think it's a good thing for whoever called that she didn't answer the phone, as she was probably quite likely to chew them up, spit them into the toilet and flush. She probably already knows the situation and she's likely seen her husband help people in tough situations before and she's therefore probably supportive, maybe even offering advice and support herself.
This is hearsay, of course, because I don't know Duane or his wife or anything about the situation. From my observations, though, I don't believe this is too far from the truth. Duane himself may be able to confirm or deny this if he cares to.
When it comes down to it, though, if you're going to attack Duane, a man who posts under his own name, you'd be much more credible if 1) you used YOUR real name and 2) you actually provided some proof that you have an IQ higher than your foot size (all caps? come on, asswipe, that's just amateur) and 3) you had some point of reference on the situation instead of simply being an uninformed internet troll hiding behind a VERY uninventive pseudonym.

I'm curious why my account was banned. I posted a lot, but I never thought I crossed any lines (trolling, etc.). I have a feeling that my viewpoints went too much against the grain and my account was banned with all others after Duane freaked out.

No CH.C insider knowledge here, but I suspect many of the bans were pragmatic. There's a point at which the value a poster brings with their opinions is outweighed by the cost of moderators time in handling issues with them.
I strongly believe this was the case with JustSillyMe, who was *very* outspoken, often interesting, but caused an awful lot of friction.
I suspect Seb got caught in the crossfire; I'm sorry to see him banned.
I think also some people's expectations were unrealistic. CH.C isn't EN Mk II: the moderation policies are entirely different. EN is essentially unmoderated; CH.C is actively moderated. Bearpit vs drawing-room; there's pluses and minuses to both.

I got banned but I figured it was because I made fun of LMP's lack of education 1 too many times. I had no idea it was a mass banning.
I hate the groupthink over there, this stupid with-us-or-against-us mentality. I really believe almost everyone involved in this drama sucks and deserves what they've ended up with, whether thats tons of stress and hours wasted or massive debt. I am very outspoken, and was probably on the verge of a ban myself, until I dialed it back a notch -- not in my thoughts or positions, but just in my approach.
I also have overtly offered to support Casey financially in any civil action LMP brings against him that goes to judge or jury, so in that context (ONLY!) I think I could be construed as big a practical supporterz™ as anyone on scene so far, but still I have not been banned on CH.C, even though outspoken and way out of the mainstream on that point.
I think a lot of the dynamics of this thing changes real time, and that people's emotions get fired up in light of partial facts, andthis is part of what makes the whole thing both interesting but also volatile.
Without getting preachy (I hope), to me, anything goes in terms of positions, support, rumors, snark, etc, but the place I think a bright line is, that should not be crossed, is actually messing in people's lives, such as the call to Duane's wife = totally not cool, trying to use IPs harvested during spy-mod duty at IAFF, also not cool, putting in false bids on Casey's website, etc not cool.

G lived on the money for several years, so there are no innocents in the Casey saga. I believe G is not going to run out and try to continue defrauding people, as evidenced by her getting a job. As far as the debt goes, you have an ugly divorce. Both sides are going to be fighting and landing low blows. Casey's actions in the past give me the impression that he is perfectly capable of emotional abuse.

I never posted there (found the structure was awkward and that the general mentality was not one I liked), but my ID should have been obvious as non-Casey (correlates with my ID here). I was hoping to see the Duane 10page thing, but I guess not.

Actually, I went back and checked the spreadsheet (Copied it to my machine before CaseyWorld™'s RealityDistortionField™ decided to revise history). The card was not maxed out. Max listed on spreadsheet was $500, there was a $128.03 balance on the card.
It also was not a typical 'credit card'. Entire balance was due on receipt of bill..
I could swear that Macy's, sears and Jcpenny's all converted their cards from a store only card to a visa/mastercard a couple years ago... I know target did.
If it was, then said macy's card could be used anywhere as a regular credit card.

I have always maintained that Galina is not as innocent as clamied. I even started a thread on that subject.

Any idea when Macy's converted to the credit card equivalent? Did they still keep their store only version when they did that (for people whose credit is so bad they can't apply for a normal credit card)?

I think macys closed their merchant bank (as did jcpenny and target) and like rob said, outsourced it to visa as an Affinity card which, if you apply for one now, that's what you will get. Macys and visa can still set the bar low with high rates and low limits to still provide the service to people with little or poor credit ( I would think)
I do know that up here in Seattle the Bon Marche was bought by macys. I had a bon card and when macys finally completly did away with the Bon Marche identity (they were known as Bon Macys for a while) I got sent a Macys visa to replace my Bon card (which I quickly cancelled)
Same happened to me with sears.
Anyway, this is just an explanation as to why a macys card could be maxed out without actually buying anything from macys.
Perhaps flitard tried to use it for sweet arbitrage?

Actually if my wife buys an item at Macys, her hybrid Visa card automatically charges to a Macys only account with it's own line of Credit. When she shops elsewhere, the Visa (obviously) takes over and that has it's own LOC.
My silvery with red letters funny shaped credit card from FILENE'S worked until the last year or so. I used to use this to buy ties and button down business shirts in the early 80s in the infamous Filene's Basement so I could look presentable enough to be be retained. In retrospect I suspect this was one of the reasons why I ended up at a place where neckties were removed with scissors.

I have mixed feels about all of this. Justice is not an internet lynch mob. Rob goes batshit insane when someone post a pick of one of his kids. Doowayne goes batshit insane when someone called his wife. Mark is just plain batshit insane(i mean that in a good way, don't sue me). Yet, none of them had any problem with the dirt-diggers finding out evey last nugget of casey's. The only one that seems to have walked out of this looking OK is Nigel. Nigel got a ration of poo and walked it off. Everyone else just started slinging poo like a cage full of monkeys.

I think this website alone is more than enough for an example. Why would you dedicate so much time and effort into hating someone so much?
