The first thing I do is list all the possible things that could be happening.
He's given it up--we're not supportive enough, or his rescuer hasn't swooped in on a magical white unicorn with piles of cash to aid him.
He's attempted suicide.
He's shut down the blog becaus the haters made him cry.
He's been arrested.
He's been sued.
He's been abducted by aliens carrying large probes.

B. G saw the posts here (or was shown) and threw the mother of all tantrums (if he's anything, he's p-whipped)
C. The Sac Bee article brough about the wrong kind of attention. The DA really doesn't like criminals getting lots of media attention, unless it's after they're done with the perp.
D. Blintz brain forgot to pay something, like a hosting bill.
AFAIK the Macy's furniture purchase and the trip to Tahoe are speculation. I think the $128.03 has been on the Macy's "store account" for a long time, and was probably whatever he got Galina for Christmas.
We had a multiple disk failure on our main server late Saturday night and getting the business related stuff back up has taken priority over getting samspade.org back up. We're working on it, though.
I do enjoy the conversation around here and wish I had a bit more time to follow up and contribute to the really impressive bits of investigation around this.
As for his domain registration. His whois record was changed on Jan 20. I'm guessing that's when he moved the site to a new host because of the NLL stuff. The website is still up from here.
I wonder sometimes whether he just takes it down for a few minutes in a pathetic attempt to lure people back to the site to see what's going on. I wouldn't put it past the little troll.
I noticed after the NLL fiasco that the IAFF page footer still said 'Hosted by HostGator' (or similar). I asked Casey at the time (8 days ago?) if he was still with HostGator, even though he'd implied DL's 'awesome' IT people had really helped him. He, OF COURSE, never answered.
I see today that footer now says 'Hosting sponsored by RealEstateInvestors.tv. " Not sure when it changed, but I think very recently.
I assume the fbi and the irs have already mirrored his blog, and that is all they need. there is no need to send in the swat team to kick down the door and rip the servers from the walls.
this isn't hollywood. this may resemble Oz when casey goes to jail, which has some surprisingly graphic depictions of prison rape I must say.
If anyone knows a writer for Oz, you should suggest to them they should introduce a pretty-boy Uzbek character named Casey who was convicted of real-estate fraud.
Site still works fine. You guys have to get a life. If the best you can do is search the Internet for informaiton and pictures about Casey and his family, I feel for you...NOT.

You know what's worse than people who don't have anything better to do but look up Casey and his family? People like you who have nothing better to do than comment about the people who are commenting about Casey.
I'd like to think his sister-in-law is messing with his computer & site while Our Hero is away. Heh.
She may be letting them live there but you KNOW the SIL must be totally disgusted with the situation. So far she is the only one I have any sympathy for!
