Nigel responds

Nigel has done what Casey would not. He's answered a question. Sort of. Well exactly like Casey. I asked if he was involved and he said... well see for yourself and read between the lines.

nigel involved in the wrap?

Rob Dawg my dear, mortgage brokers don’t do wraps as there is no new institutional lender involved. Only real estate agents use wraps since they get paid their commissions. Only a title company/property attorney can actually execute a wrap.

Just like you, I did not know Casey until I ran across his blog. Until last week, I had never even met him.

Your question is a red herring meant only to cast doubt on me. You know the truth. Here is my answer for this board to see.

Nigel

----

Anybody else waste their time like me in graduate courses in symbolic logic and set theory? BTW Nigels boot ain't big 'nuf to get to call me dear. Classic sophomoric tactic to try and debase an opponent rather than address the issues. The really cool thing is the code of ethics for Utah mortgage brokers and their sworn obligation to report questionable practices.

Just further proof that Nigel is as big of a douchebag as we all thought.

Someone suggested to Casey that he copy all of this stuff to read it in 20 years to see what an idiot he had been. Assuming he does a dime for the fraud, where will our FFF and Nigel be in two decades?

I'll put CS in some MLM trying to sell vitamins living in his parents basement.

Nigel will be in a homeless shelter turning trick to survive.

yes, and plenty of discrete math too.

anyhow, Nigel is much more interested in in wrap-arounds anyway. or is it reach-arounds? I forget.

Man, I still remember resovling a 4x4 matrix and taking the diagonal with Greens' Theorem by hand. He was right and I went on to develop a series of anisotropic simulataneous finite elements to model composite structures. Yes, those "16 Node Brick" nonlinear elements are mine.

I cleaned up the formatting and some of the wording of the Wikipedia entry. I added a sub-section in "Criticisms" about the incidents before the blog (Usenet Ponzi Scheme, Ramit, etc).

Someone keeps putting in your terrorist quote, Rob, as an example of "hate"... which I find extremely annoying, as I removed it previously (a lone comment has nothing to do with Casey's story). Bleh.

Rob Dawg said...

My terrorist quote has no place in the wiki. The concept is too complex and subtle to be fairly expressed/discussed in that forum. I do not condone its out of context useage there.

No, sorry. Okay, let's try this in practical analogies. every had a piece of fabric that stretched more one way but not another? That's anisotropic. It means different physical properties in different directions. It can aslo mean different properties in time or temperatue of many things. Silly Putty is incredibly har and shatters under a hammer but stretches in your fingers for instance. This is also the principle behind bulletproof vests and other modern marvels. Okay. now take the fabric and embed it in silly putty. How do you predict its behavior and is this behavior useful? This is what those big wurds describe. No talking down here. This is real rocket science. I hope i was of help.

Well hay everybody,

I must tell you the Wiki entry is shaping up quite nicely. Aren't you glad you asked us to all get involved Casey? The picture, references, everything is looking very professional and truthful. Even if the truth hurts Casey, not much you can do about it now (unless you start flaming it with blatantly false stuff like last night.)

@Rob. Gimme a break. I can't believe you even bothered to write THIS about Nigel: "The really cool
thing is the code of ethics
for Utah mortgage brokers and
their sworn obligation to
report questionable
practices."

When the requirements to become a Cotton Swab are THESE:
1. Meet the statutory licensing qualifications of good moral character, competency, honesty, integrity, and truthfulness. (Utah Code Annotated 61-2c-203)
2. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
3. Take 20 hours of approved education at a certified Pre-license Mortgage School.
4. Take and pass the Mortgage Officer exam.
5. Submit to the Division:

* Completed and signed application (issued at the testing center).
* Original and signed Education Certifying Document (issued by the mortgage school).
* Signed responses to the Qualifying Questionnaire (issued at the testing center) and supporting documentation to any “YES” answers.
* Two fingerprint cards and a signed Fingerprint Waiver (issued at the testing center).
* $275 non-refundable fee ($200 application fee, $36 recovery fund fee and $39 fingerprint processing fee).

So...for the cost of dinner you & I could probably walk off the street (since we smart) and take the course cold and become licensed. Or take a Learning Annex course one Saturday. Whichever, it's Scary.

Near as I can parse Caseyspeak™ he put up a mortgage, a hard money loan and some credit card/line of credit debt to "buy" Dallas. Investment is when you take monrey earning interest and put it to work someplace else. Near as I could tell he needed something like 25% annualized appreciation to even pull this off. Gambling, not investing.

ratlab said...

Dammit, minimum $2MM before the IRS cares to reward anyone.

As long as the total amount of tax fraud comes out to at least $2 million (including penalties, interest, and whatever else the government ultimately collects based on your report), you can get a 15 to 30 percent cut.

Someone from the IP address 67.186.234.4 has been removing content from the Wiki article unfavorable to Casey, specifically the reference to the "hater" blogs. His reasoning is absurd ("the blogs aren't entirely devoted to Casey").

Benoit,

Check out some of the criticisms:

Criticism - These blogs are either not notable or not devoted entirely to Casey Serin. The website redirect caseyserin.info is a clear case of inherent copyright infringement and cybersquatting.)

→Personal life - This content is stolen from the original author through use of google cache. Additionally, the domain it is hosted on is an inherent copyright infringement and cybersquatting.)

----------------------------

Yep, sounds like Nigel to me.

My advice to Nigel is this: it is NOT A copyright violation to register a website in the name of a living person. IT MAY be SEEN as cybersquatting, but like copyrights you could lose that one in court.

What is his fascination with Copyrights? It's not like Nigel has millions of fans. Even laughable is the fact his blog has tons of Copyright violations!

Rob Dawg said...

Nigel censors. Thus he has no standing in civilized society. I do not "grant" him a forum to express his views. I recognize his right to a say even though he is so low as to not see the same right for others. I honestly don't understand the depths of depravity that result in some decision that censorship is acceptable behavior.

Rob Dawg said...

"Hello? I'm looking for Casey Serin info."

"Why don't you try caseyserin.info?"

"I did but apparently all the info there is uncensored and so I am left to decide on my own what's right."

"So?"

So, unless what I see is filtered and vetted and approved I'll have to think for myself."

"So?"

"So, that means obviously that providing info about casey serin at a place called caseyserin.info is a case of copyright infringment."

"WTF? Get outta here you nut!"

I love this. Nigel "outs" himself by being a little bit TOO defensive of his new buddy. Those arguments are incredibly flimsy. Dawg I guess you need to make this a 100% Casey site.

Jesus why doesn't Nigel start his own 100% Casey site, maybe he'd get some traffic! And he'd be able to tidy up Serin's profile to his heart's content. There's a guy in IA who posted on the WIKI discussion that he thought it was unfair to indict Casey for making a mistake when he was 14 - but it's all there for the world to see! Casey has never in his entire life wanted to earn and honest buck! I have done a TON of stupid shit in my life, but I was NEVER above an honest day's work. Not since I started delivering flyers at 12, or bagging groceries at 13. I have never NOT worked and I want to pound Casey's teeth in. And I want to pound his supporters', er I mean Nigel's for being such an arrogant cog in this corrupt system.

After reading KC's latest literary excretion about the value of a college education, I think back to a past ladyfriend who has a Phd in Career Counseling.

Her comments on the value of a college education, in a career sense were:

1. It proves to an employer that you're smart enough to pass all the courses and get a degree.

2. It proves to an employer that you have a 4-year track record of showing up to classes on time. Classes that have a diverse schedule and physical location.

3. It proves to an employer that, over the course of 4 years, you complete your assignments on time.

4. It proves to an employer that you complete assignments that you think have no value. And you complete them even if you think that your professor is a dork.

Subsitute the words "partner" or "investor" for the word "employer" in the above, and you have a picture of the value of a college degree.

Without a degree, you have to prove all of those things in a different way - usually with years of experience in a particular industry. Which is actually harder than going to college.

To me, it's all about choosing the easiest and most effective ways to achieve your goals.

I thought about posting this on IAFF, but decided there's probably a more appreciative audience here.

This winter was the hottest winter on record and I'm sure this summer will be even worse and I don't have any shade. I'm very angry and my dogs were too when I got home.

Heads up - wikipedia admin "Anetode" marked the CS article for deletion on the grounds that it's an attack page. He says it violates BLP, whatever that is. ExUrbanNation was mentioned on the discussion page for the deletion:

Yeah well that was fairly predictable.... you all can argue for a "keep" on the RfD page... Unfortunately in my own experience Wiki has a lot of wikinazi admins who love blocking and deleting.

Anonymous said...

As predicted yesterday, Wiki will ultimately take down the page probably sooner than later. They tend censor anything that generates too much controversy (ironic given their mission statement or whatever). Particularly around a minor figure such as Snowflake and the content centered on frivolous things like his murse or his mother's butt ugly mug.

Gypsy Pete said...

Walt526 - Wiki is nuts these days. I've had my userpage listed for deleting for stating the Wiki Admins are overzealous wikinazis! (Which only proves the point of course). I wondered why and did a bit of reading up on Jimbo (the Wikipedia creator) - at the end of the day I'd have to say he seems a bit megalomaniac to me (but obv. brilliant). Yes - the contradiction in Wiki's mission and actuality is perverse. The end result? We need Rob's blog!
