Watching Waiting Not Wondering At All

I let the phone number stay up in the previous thread because it was independently confirmed. Yep, the Dawg Network is fully international 24/7 and ready to confirm everything.

A few things. The supporter who is paying the ticket "home" is mom. Isn't mom easier to type than supporter?
I'm surprised at the 2nd/3rd date. The early intel was for the 6/7th. Perhaps all the sweet media dried up?

Okay, by now I think Casey is starting to get that reality seepage cold spot in the pit of his stomach going pretty strong. Casey, we only wish you what you wish for yourself: Exactly what you deserve. That is why we are watching your every move and every venture. We don't want you to take any wrong turns from the path you've laid. Trust us, everything you left back in the States has compounded in its own sweet passive way. Plus, like any fertile ground new growth has emerged to greet your return to the garden where it all started.

Did anyone else speak to Casey besides me? (in the previous thread, I pointed out that I'm the one who told him that it was on this blog).

It sounded like he was at a bar because of the crowd noise, unless he was walking down a street with drunken people shouting outside.

Anyway, I wonder if any of you left creative voice mails for him?

His mom? How old is this kid? 12?

Will mommy greet her widdle bay-bee with milk and cookies?

Will Mommy wipe away the tear from her widdle bay-bee's big brown eyes? Awww... don't cry bay-bee... you're such a brave young man! Now go pick up your toys, and Mommy will read you a bedtime story.

A married boy who fancies himself a buisnessman, rescued by his Mommy.

That's freaking pathetic.

Actually, I got through; I wanted to test his media-whoring abilities by saying I was from some paper that nobody ever heard of in the middle of nowhere. He bit the bait! Can't believe I actually got through, though!

There's something seriously wrong with this kid (not that everyone didn't know that already). Remember when Declan interviewed him and asked how he was going to pay for his trip back? Casey mumbled something and then said he was going to make some money. I guess the mumbling was "mommy is going to finance it".

@ Social hacking for fun and profit:

That's pretty cool. I loved to do prank calls as a very young kid, but I don't have the nerve to pull them off now, which is why all I said to him was that the # was posted here and left it at that.

So did you fess up in the end and tell him it was a prank call? Or did you tell him to go some place in the middle of nowhere?

@Anon 9:49-- Nope; first rule of prank calls is never confess it's you! (Well, unless you're crank calling your friends as a joke. Even then, you only let on when they're quite convinced it's not you on the other end.) I told him I wanted to conduct the "interview" via e-mail, and he said that was fine. I toyed w/the idea of a real e-mail interview w/a phony e-mail address, but I figured I wasn't going to get any answers out of him that we don't already have. Eh, well. Like I told one of my friends, at least I got to call one of my favorite laughingstocks! The Fraudcasts on Talkshoe were too much of a pain in the ass. Crank calls are more fun done on the spur of the moment.

@ Social, cont'd

Well, I used to bait Nigerian 419 scammers, and I did prank call them and yell "MUGU!!" when they answered their phone.

I may be a "hater" but I would never ever have the courage to write a blog that exposes me like that, warts and all.

He'd be a lot more sympathetic if he said a few weeks back: "I've hit rock bottom, all of it of my own making. I'll do right by my vows to my wife and get a job, no matter how menial to regain her respect and to slowly build back my honor and reputation".

Rob,

I knew it! The Casey haterz with their own blogs were mostly using EN as a dump so they can keep their sites clean and moderated!

Do you check out any of their sites? Not that you should care, but now that you don't cater to their (all Casey all day and all night) needs, they don't have anything good to say about you. An example is the ":::YAWN:::" thread on Stephanie J.'s blog.

Thanx for returning to good ole boring issues about housing, transportation, economics etc. Please bore me all you want. I enjoy reading your blog so I guess I am boring? GOOD!

Rob Dawg said...

@Dawg: how about the rest of the email exchange posted in the previous thread? Also confirmable?

Enough that I didn't bother past the phone number. At some point it gets too tinfoily to bother. This is a blog and there's two Casey posts in a row. I also don't want to confirm or deny more because if I say too much eventually Casey will incorrectly conclude that only one of the people he confides in is leaking all this. Some is not leaks, some leaks are not deliberate, there is no deep throat. [Don't go there you perverts.]

Anyway my bond futures and gold futures are fat and happy. There's more going on than Casey's impending walk into the jaws of the lion he created.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 9:53--

Oh, I agree. If he really was making an honest effort at righting his wrongs, I'd never have bothered him. (Which is I always tell friends who fall for crank calls that it's me in the end, before they stress out.) The fact that Snowflake's a total freeloading looser who craps on his friends, family, and anyone who tries to really help him makes him prime fodder to play with!

Sysiwig, I am a RE investor. That's why I have lots in high yield short term laddered CDs, and other safe boring and liquid investments right now. The futures is the few percent of risky gambling money that any balanced portfolio should consider. I am not "investing" in gold, I am speculating on the direction of the gold market. Huge difference. I don't see anything useful in holding a shiny industrial metal that enjoys a certain social cachet. Everytime I get a thought like that I remember the Washington Monument cappiece; A little less than 3kg of that rare and wondrous material of the modern age; aluminum.

Immigration reform is dead for any new President of either party unless he (yes, he) gets there by dint of promising real reform.

I'm still fuming over the "Kris" crap, which is squarely aimed at hurting Galina.

I'm willing to bet that, while there may have once been a Kris that he worked with/for, she did not leave that comment on his website, nor did she let him shower in her hotel.

An ex of mine used to try and pull manipulative shit like this all the time. Look for a weak spot and exploit it. I'll bet that Galina was maybe once jealous of a Kris that he worked with and so now he's using that to try and goad her into a jealous rage, in the hopes that Galina will want to take back what's hers.

(Honestly, though. Only Casey would be such a hobo as to say "Thanks for lunch. Mind if I use your hotel to shower?"
Unless he stank so bad that his lunch guest insisted...)

I'm answering Tav because I believe there is no such thing as a stupid question. The answers are not for him anyway. I mean really have you ever considered the nature of a gold futures contract? Didn't my reply show how it wasn't an investment?

Tony, good to hear from you. This one escaped my notice. Is it just some technical error or is it a credit/liquidity squeeze showing there first with more to follow? Manufactured housing has an unfair reputation. I'd hate to see a potentially great industry crushed because of a lending crisis that doesn't have anything to do with their construction methods.

I'm not quite getting your logic. Rob determines how his site is moderated (or not in his case)--and he is not controlling, and neither are we for that matter, the traffic that comes and goes.

I'd think that my deleting personal attacks may deter trolls, but that's not an intentional method to drive them back to EN--it's just a way to keep trolls from controlling the threads.

Rob is the one who controls the content and regulars on his site, not the Haterz with their own blogs.

"I'm still fuming over the "Kris" crap, which is squarely aimed at hurting Galina."

It's also the mark of a true sociopath. He needs a place to stay, so why not hit Galina where it hurts, make a few promises, and move back in? If you read any of Anne Rule's books about sociopaths (and I've read most of them) they exhibit this same behavior. For example, one of her subjects, Dr. Anthony Pignataro--mistreated and used his wife over time by by lying to her, cheating on her, manipulating her into participating in his shady schemes (at one point she assisted him with a medical procedure because he talked her into it--and she was not a nurse), "gaslighting" her, and then finally, tried to kill her by gradually poisoning her(BTW, he had nearly killed her before she realized that he didn't care, and wanted her out of the way because he beleived that she was--dare I say it--holding him back.). For Pignataro, it was all about image, but he was mired in debt up to his eyeballs.

No, I don't think Casey is a killer. But I think he'd manipulate anything, anyway he could in order to get what he wants, even if it means bankrupting Galina and her family both mentally and financially.

BTW, there's a recurring theme with the sociopaths that Anne Rule writes about: Mamma always comes to the rescue. No matter what.

It's a credit/liqidity thing right now. Lots of lenders are REALLY tightning the belts but they are doing so rather quietly so as not to cause panic. Panic is here folks. Most folks buying manufactured are at the very bottom rung of the ownership ladder. I gotta say, I'm glad I was hooked in with EN and Housing Panic and didn't fall for the ra-ra crap we get pitched everyday. Lots and lots of Realtors dropping like flies. They never saw the swatter coming. I'm still selling but the last couple of months, you can really see it once you look for it.

Rob Dawg said...

Tony, thanks for the kind words.

Liquidity is drying up everywhere. Dozens of private equity placements have been cancelled in the last few days. I guess "manufactured housing" is just a convienent victim in this round. Frankly I cannot understand the 20 of an 80/20 loan ever getting funded in this environment. Would you want your money 100% at risk for 8.75% in the residential housing market? I wouldn't even look until 19% and first borns were mentioned and frankly anyone who could swing 19% on the 20 portion can afford and qualify for a real mortgage. My point is that the piggyback loan industry is going away. Not shrinking, closing down. Any activity you might see now is a cover while the lenders sneak out the back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe those 2nd mortgages are NOT held by the originator. They were bundled up and are now the MBS's backing pension funds and MM accts.

Check the propspectus of your MM accounts. You may be surprised to realize that you too are a real estate "investor".

Oh, and holding a reasonable amount of physical metal as an insurance policy is prudent in this day and age. As the events in London today show (thank god it was stopped), the world is a very dangerous place.

Australia travel update:

Thanks to one of my long time silent supporters for taking me out for some sushi last night. He is a full-time property investor with properties mostly in western Tazmania. We had a great time talking about Australia property market, blogging, etc.

And today, thanks to Kris (who left a nice comment the other day), for taking me out to lunch. She happened to be here on a business trip. It was great to catchup with a past hosting / web dev client.

She let me use the shower in her nice hotel. The communal showers in the hostel were a little too… um communal and dirty for my taste. So I went like 2 days with a nice warm/cold shower.

I will be flying straight back to the States any day now. As soon as my other supporter is able to book the flight. I feel so blessed by all the love and support (financial and emotional) people have shown me on this trip.

You are not blessed, kangatard. Having your mother bail you out of your own stupidity is not a blessing. It is a curse. For her, anyway.

I am curious if Casey has accepted the irony of the fact that he once talked down to "W-2 loosers" and is now forced to be bailed out of his dilemma by his "mommy".
But I am sure copious entrepeneurs of the past all had to rely on their mothers time and again. Warren Buffett. Donald Trump. Richard Branson. Clearly momma's boys.

Rob,

So do you feel the subprime lending was a result of bankgreed at the tail-end of a natural boom or was it the boom?

I know of several banks that sold off their subprime units, we all saw what happened to New Century, and now look at Countrywide and others facing investigations. I think it's safe to say an upturn in REI, while likely, will no be as vast and expansive as it was.

It's a bit like the dotcoms. After investors got bit and realized how they were over-valuating the equities, they now are a little more careful about what and how much they invest in technologies.

Just the two cents of a marshy mule.

Don't get hung up on the "2 days with a shower" -- I think this is typical Casey rushed-and-sloppy writing and that what he really meant to write was "without". The implication from the rest of the text is that he met Kris for lunch and bludged a free shower.

And yes, he may well be baitin'. He does have a habit, though, of revealing too much personal information and subsequently trying to backpedal.

I'm pretty sure that his use of "loose" is deliberate, too.

The bank irresponsibility unfortunately coincided with a natural boom. Somewhere 3-4 years ago the combination of lax rules and Clinton's 2/5 cap gains exemption and Greenspan's failure to restore rates got together and took a run up into bubble territory.

My position is that we ants should not be out in the open while the elephants are fighting. RE is definitely a good asset investment when treated as an investment because of taxes and other factors but we have gotten so far out of balance that waiting is the RE investment strategy that is currently working best. We also have a bit of mythology to work past. Where you live is not an investment. Do people buy food or gas on margin?

I think Casey gives a shit - because the hysteria from critics that constantly react to his obvious attempts to bait them are the reason Casey has been able to establish the "media" (I use that worse loosely) presence that he has, hence his "celebrity" (also loosely) and the minor amounts of money he's able to squeeze out of his blog.

Particularly when it's so obvious he's just trying to get critics upset . . .

"Goes to show you, you can’t trust even the so called “supporters”"

I know you read me Hobbit, and I know that it sticks. The "kangaroo impersonation" photo...right off the 2nd Hatercast... so why did you not bear in mind something important that I told you way back?

You'll NEVER survive incarceration since you don't know who your friends are and who is trying to put one over on you.
You have utterly no idea who can be trusted.
You apparently never once insist on answering for yourself what the other guy is getting out of the deal.

Do you recall when I told you that?

You don't know these basic, vital and simple things because I suspect that there is no room in your mind left over after the Needs, Wants, Fantasies and Whims of Casey Serin have used up all the available space.

You got no Empathy, hobbit. (And this coming from ME, I know, but I'm good at being cruel precisely because I HAVE empathy.).

You can trust me, buckaroo. Have I not been consistent with you all along? (Well...I DID play a Supporter once...for about ten minutes, I think...couldn't pull it off, it's contrary to my nature where you are concerned)

Whine and cry about "Hate" all you wish, but admit that it is an honest emotion, and those who "hate" you have been honest with you about that.

"Anyway, i’m back in the conv store on the computer writing this huge comment. Usually I don’t ramble on like this but hey, why not. "

Poor little Caseyroo...you're lonely, broke and scared.
And you don't like the glimpse of your possible future that you're getting tonight, do you?
(See what empathy can do for you?)

Remember that homeless guy on "your" property?
It would have killed you to offer him a "deal"?

Better go reread your Scriptures, little self-professed Christian fellow.

How was Lot and his family saved from Sodom and Gomorrah?

Angels walk among us,kid, but they don't always appear as we might think that they should.
Was he an angel? Maybe not...but think on this.

Can you recall his face? His voice? His hands?

"I hope we can get that book out in July as promised. Things have been kind of quiet on that. I guess it’s being worked on, one way or another. I will have to put my own finishing touches on it to make it sound like me. But it’s sweet to have a team of people working on this thing with / for me."

Kind of quiet on that front?

bahahahaha. Odds of book getting "published": 0.

What is the point of putting his finishing touches on it and making it sound like him when he just admitted that he had nothing to do with writing it?

I wonder how much longer before the they take the penny away from us?

fliptard was walking around the naughty part of town, trying to make enough cash to get a room in a youth hostel.

No no, Murses. He "doesn't want to think about that kind of stuff."

Which is ironic given how many people he's fucked over.

So Casey pretty much confirmed that he got stood up on a place to stay last night. How much does that suck?

Things are looking up, you've got a place to stay for the rest of the trip and then your new host emails you to tell you they've found out what you've really been up to.

And to top it off, your secret phone number is plastered on the Internet.

Hey Kidz,
It's Friday and time to play 6 Degrees of Casey Serin again.
Woohoo!!!
This week's challenge is Casey to Bettie Page.

I wonder if KC cried when he talked to his mommy to bring him home.

A win-win for EN and CaseyPedia, though. Casey's train derailed by a quick Google of his name? How sweetly familiar.

How much credit card debt did she run up? Didn't you see the balance sheet? The picutres?

And was she ever working? No. She was "going to school".

Rooooight.

She's leech and they make the perfect couple.

Rob BBB,
Sorry. That train left the station when kangatard hopped the border. You are making fun of serious situations. You don't have the details. Give it a rest.

Oh noes! The internet is serious business!

Why don't you give us the details, then, oh wise master of other people's business? I guess it wouldn't be as exciting as stringing it out for the rest of your natural life.

I guess the troll shift just started. More disruption before the Friday Fraudcast can begin...

@Rob

"This Casey is not the old Casey. This one is cold and mean and uninterested in anything except survival without effort. This is the real Casey with all the goodwill stripped away."

Amen to that.

He has. Lots. Keep up or shut up.
